where to buy disposable ponchos

I've been looking for the inexpensive disposable ponchos for the grandkids when we go to WDW and can't find them anywhere. People keep saying they've bought them at the Dollar Store, but which Dollar Store? Anybody purchased them recently? Where did you find them. Been to Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar.

Walmart has them in the camping section.

And, yes, I've seen them at Dollar Stores and Rite Aid Pharmacies.

It's been years since I've looked for them but I've seen them in the camping section at Walmart before.

Have you tried asking for help from one of the people working at these places you've checked?

If you go to walmart, go to the umbrella section. They have them there.

A few dollar stores (different kinds) in my area has them as well.

Not sure if you have them in your area, but we always get ours at Dollar Tree.

Camping section at Target too. It can be hard at first to figure out what they are. Our Target has them in little silver bins. They are Coleman brand, green, and folded up pretty small.

about 4.99 and durable. They're around the purses, umbrella section.

I got ours at target in the camping section. They were 1.05 at our target. But they sucked. It was this very thin plastic and as soon as I used it we couldn't use them again cause they were all wrapped up and wet. We ended up buying the ones at disney and they lasted us all week and dried nicely. If you want to buy them before you go I recommend checking them out firstmake sure they aren't too thin.

Coleman ones at Target were very thin, price was $2.49. Ones at Walmart were better quality and came with a pouch. They had a zipper and snaps, prices were $6.50 for adult, $8.99 for kids (several sizes); Coleman brand as well.

I, personally, like the really thin/disposable ones. They don't take up any room and you have them just in case of rain. Now, if there is a high chance of a lot of rain over several days, the reusable ones would be better. Ours are for "just in case", so smaller is better!

We like the super cheap ones from the dollar store. At about $.80 each we buy enough for each day and toss the, after using.

Yes us too..but remember when they say disposable that's exactly what they mean...doubt you'll get more than one use from them-they are flimsy & inexpensive and not a hassle to carry around. Especially if the forcast has just possibility of rain

We got ours at the Dollar Tree a few years ago - it was a pack of two, one clear and one yellow one. However, I have been looking for them this year and have not been able to find any - been to two different Dollar Trees. I can find them at Wal Mart and Target but they are not cheap enough where I would consider them disposable - around $10-$15 each I am finding.

One year, we found some really nice Coleman ones at Big Lots for $5 each. They were durable, long, adjustable hood - much better quality than the dollar store ones and kept us much dryer. And at $5 each, we had no qualms about tossing them at the end of our trip. I've checked three different Big Lots this year and haven't found any ponchos. But I guess that's the type of store that has different inventory all the time.

I love these. They're not "disposable" though; these are quality ponchos by Totes that can be re-used quite a lot. They often come in a little mesh zip bag.

The disposable ones I've purchase for only $1-2 or so are very thin, like garbage-bag-thin, and barely last twice. The Totes one are thicker, so they take up more room when folded, but last a dozen times at LEAST. And I've been through some pretty bad rainstorms in the Totes ponchos.

I haven't seen the ultra-thin, cheap ones around in a while, but then again, many of the cheapie dollar stores around us have closed.

We used to always get them at Walmart...but found out this last summer there was a recall on them and they stopped selling them. We had a heck of a time trying to find any for our trip. My mom finally found some but they were different and I'm not sure where she got them.

You are second poster that has said this. I wouldn't expect a disposable item to last more than once. Isn't that the point? I don't want to lug a wet piece of plastic around when the rain clears nor do I want to worry about drying 5 of them in a small resort bathroom or end up having to pack them wet into a suitcase for our return.

There are certainly benefits to both products.
