Where should the next DVC MH should be.......

maybe a split between VB & HH or another D-Cruise or maybe at the DVC resorts again with closing MGM 8:30 to midnight & AK 4:30-8pm, any other ideas?

i did hear from a dvc guide at MH that a D-Cruise is in the future but they want all of us to rebuild our points first so we would have enough points to do the D-Cruise.

they give us more notice and have it when the kids are out of school!

::yes:: ::yes::

I would love to see them do another Member Cruise. I hope next time it is a 7 day!

As for a park based event I think it would be great if they did MGM and maybe a private showing of Fantasmic.

I would definately like to see another Magic Kingdom night - that was fantastic.

How about a MH with a private PI night and/or a Cirque performance? Another thing they can do is host a buffet dinner party at Epcot followed by private fireworks. I know this can be done since I attended a function like this hosted by a Company during a Convention. During dinner they also had perfomances by Epcot entertainers and a portion of the parade for us.

when they did the DVC member cruise in the past....did you have to book it with points? Or did you have the option of doing cash?

mbw12 - for the member cruise you could book cash or points, but you had to pay in full the day you booked.

After reading the comments about some of the gay day celebrations I've got a few things to add for upcoming MH events.

I would love to see a nighttime pool party at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. Not an all nighter or into the early morning hours, but maybe something from 6 pm - Midnight.

I'd also love to see a night when DVC takes over Pleasure Island. Now I'm not a PI fan normally, but if it was a special DVC event and the entertainment was geared towards DVC it could be fun.

For smaller, less expensive events how about one night a week as DVC night at the Dance Club at Boardwalk. You need a DVC card to come in. Or maybe one a week a DVC shopping discount at Downtown Disney.

Keep posting and maybe we can email Mr. Lewis our thread and give him some ideas what we would like to do for our next MH..

I like Mary's ideas. The price tag this time was too high to not include admission, imo.

I heartily second that part about more notice. Us DVCers like to plan at least a year out! Why can't Disney do the same? :)

Love to do a member cruise w/some time at the parks afterwards...

Another cruise would be great with us. We were hoping it would have been this year but will be very excited if it is in 2005. A repeat of the 4 day is all we could handle because of work.

The extra time at WDW some have mentioned would not help us out if it was a package deal. Maybe they could make it a 2 part package. Cruise and Parks. If you could not work both into your schedule, then pick the one you can.

I would be game for just about anything.

All that I ask is that it is announced at least 11 months in advance of a "major" event to coincide with my planning schedule.

We don't have children... But, for those of you that "do," wouldn't it be nice that, if this were to be another multi-day event, that one of the nights they offer an event for the kids, with an "adult" event, say at Pleasure Island, like Mary suggested?

That would be kinda cool...

It would be nice to have a little more kid friendly event. The late hours was a problem for our 21 month old, but she was a trooper. I like the idea of another member cruise and as someone mentioned the idea of Typhoon lagoon or Blizzard Beach is great. I would prefer that no more events be held at EPCOT.
