Where is your "spot"?

I'm making a list of your answers. Going to try some of these out in a few weeks. Thank you everyone! These are great!

I have two. One is the Land Pavilion first thing in the morning after the park opens and the second is the France Pavilion after dark. Both are the things I think about most when I think about Disney.

I like the little things and atmosphere more than just attractions.

The corner of Upper Regency Street and Tudor Lane-United Kingdom-World Showcase-Epcot.:)

This is my favorite spot. Let the kids run wild in the maze, eat fish and chips, have a beer. Uncrowded and beautiful.

I LOVE the back entrance area of Epcot. It is so relaxing! The music is playing from France, the pretty view of the canal with the French decor along the wall, the lack of people, the occasional rare character meet and greet... I just love that area. As we walk out of Epcot from the back entrance we always take the lower walkway under the bridge to Beach Club and I just always feel at home.

That is def. my happy place.
Yes, totally agree here. This is my happy place as well! :goodvibes

If I told you my spots I would have to kill you. I have a few particular tucked away break places I like to chill out in.
LOL. I agree. I will tell you I miss the Rose Garden off the hub in MK. Always cool, shady and deserted but you were still, literally, in the middle of the action. Sigh, at least I have lots of pic.

Right before I collapse from exhaustion I like to haul my corpse over the the Solarium at the Beach Club resort with a cup of the steaming clam chowder from the Marketplace. When life is worth living again and I can finally get up I take the Beach Club secret exit by room 1501 and head on out to the world once again.

Yes! After many trips to the Boardwalk, including our first WDW visit, walking over to the World Showcase entrance became our "we're here!" moment.

Epcot - The courtyard at the end of the France Pavilion after we get our ice cream from L'Artisans De Glaces. Then we just relax, my sister eats her ice cream cone and I eat my ice cream sandwich macaron. So relaxing and away from the crowds.

DHS - The benches in the Street of America to get away from the crowds, but it's closing soon.

Animal Kingdom - We tend to head towards Asia and do the jungle trek first while everyone else runs to the safari. I love watching and talking to the animals.

Magic Kingdom - Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, we get water and watch the parade go by. Or we head to POTC.

I love sitting at the Boardwalk area, it's very peaceful over there.

Nighttime in EPCOT, by the fountain, when the music plays and the water dances. Also the twinkling sidewalk lights.

The beach at Wilderness Lodge. It's where I first met my wife, so we are saddened that it has disappeared with the new construction. Beyond that, the lobby of WL still remains majestically awesome. Fun to watch people walk in for the first time and to see their awe-struck visages. The walkway between the two buildings at WL is also a wonderful spot--lanterns flickering, crickets chirruping, and music playing. Transformative. Finally, walking in the entrance to the Lodge is superbly satisfying every single time.

P.S. We do like the pause before entering Main Street, but not so much those who stop right at the end of the entrance tunnels to take in the view or pull out a map or discuss where to go first. Move up about 20 feet and to the side, please. ;)

A few come to mind.
  • Floating above London in Peter Pan's Flight, watching the "traffic"
  • Epcot in the evening at Christmastime with Santa & Mrs Claus
  • In the Main Street Railroad station (was lost once as a kid and this is where they found me because they remembered I loved trains)

Is there a "spot" or area in WDW you tend gravitate to? You know, the one that makes you think "This is where I want to be." For us, it tends to be the area of Liberty Land and Frontier Land. It's not necessarily for the rides, it's the atmosphere that attracts us. Where is your "spot"?
Our Margaritas in Mexico! It reminds us to sip ,relax and enjoy!

So many to choose from- a few of mine:

-lobby of the Grand Floridian
- Main Street in the am or pm
- Tom Sawyers Island
- World Showcase entrance from Resorts

There's an alcove off the path toward Asia in Animal Kingdom, with tables and chairs and a beautiful view of the Tree of Life. I like to sit there and admire the Tree in the distance, identifying different animals in the carvings as the ducks waddle about. Such a simple moment, but a lovely one that I reflect upon often. AK is a thematic masterpiece.

But a pomegranate margarita in the cool darkness of La Cava comes pretty close to divine tranquility, too. ;)
