First to the OP, It was wrong, plain and simple, to publish it. But it is also one of the few things I have ever read by him that made complete sense to me.
Yes there are secred sites with in the US, the Black Hills for example are concidered very secred by those that follow the indian religions. Very few in the Judeo/Christian linage though, just a couple of places where there are people that have been sainted.
I guess I don't understand the outrage. Is there an expectation of privacy for your litter?
But this quote brings me back to a question I often wonder about:
Does America have any holy places or sacred cities or anything like that? I know it's a weapon the media always likes to use against America. It seems especially in Iraq - every single city is reported as being a "holy city" or a "sacred city" and how dare we even tread on that ground.
