where is the outrage now?

I guess I don't understand the outrage. Is there an expectation of privacy for your litter?

But this quote brings me back to a question I often wonder about:



Does America have any holy places or sacred cities or anything like that? I know it's a weapon the media always likes to use against America. It seems especially in Iraq - every single city is reported as being a "holy city" or a "sacred city" and how dare we even tread on that ground.

Does America have any such places?

Yes there are secred sites with in the US, the Black Hills for example are concidered very secred by those that follow the indian religions. Very few in the Judeo/Christian linage though, just a couple of places where there are people that have been sainted.

Yes, there are many areas sacred to the Native Americans and also to the Alaskin native people and Hawiaian Natives.

I don't know…There's just something about this story that has me going hmmmm… Like it's a great distraction from the story about the near riot at the wall when Obama posted his huge banners. And it's a huge distraction from the story about Obama's refusal to visit wounded soldiers because the Pentagon wouldn't allow him to pimp them as campaign props. I don't know… I think this story has Obama's campaign's finger prints all over it. I'm just sayin'…

That was my first thought. I am soryy, but ALOT of famous people have visited that wall and put their prayers there and somehow only Obama's humble words have been taken and published (without permission)? I'm not buying it.

I am not a Jew but do have respect for their traditions.

I took a quick look around the web to see what kind of etiquette there is for "Kotel notes".

Most of what I read had to do with respect for the Wailing Wall itself. I couldn't find anything about a sacred trust of the contents of said Kotel Notes. Just that they are collected once every year and buried. I did see a few anecdotes that suggest that the contents of the Kotel notes are not necessarily involiate.

If the note was placed there by the Obama campaign on purpose then the student was in on it and the press fell for it. That is unless they are in on the plot too. The note sounds a bit too perfect but I can't imagine that he placed it there with the intention that it would be published.
