Where is the Cheapest place to get DL hopper passes?

i just bought mine a few days ago at last minute travel . com

5 day hopper for $190.00

DL website has 3 day hopper for $186.00

have fun planning!

I bought DD's and my 5 day PH for our *2010 4th of July/DD's B-day trip* from LMT - I got a great deal as well!

I've looked at all the sites recommended and other than ARES, the tickets are cheaper straight from Disneys website right now. ARES is about $20 less total (for 2 adults and 2 kids). I guess Disney has got quite the sale on. I'm holding off on buying them but I'm wondering if I should go for it if they are so cheap at Disney.com right now.

I know costco in fullerton has had 4 day tickets for $200 with a $50 gift card. If you have a car, it's only about 5 miles away. If you don't I've also heard you can get a deal with the car rental place at the end of downtown disney.

Do you know if this deal has any restrictions? I thought I had heard of this deal and it was strictly for Southern California residents, and you had to show proof of residency at some point. Also are there any date restrictions (like they must be used by the end of this year or something)? We aren't going until February, wonder if they will still be offered then.

HI newbie!!

Anyhow you had a great point! I have also heard that ARES travel is a great place to get tickets to Disneyland, that is if you are going for more then one day! Also they have great package deals for hotels and tickets at Disneyland… I have heard a lot of good things about Ares travel and even mouseforless has them listed as one of the ticket/travel providers on there website!

click here for ARES travel!!! :)

Actually I think you can get the costco deal online shipped to you too for free http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11541962 . I am in Seattle, and I got to the very last screen of the ordering, so I think it would've gone through even though I don't live in SoCal. I think its a great deal. I ended up not taking it cause I was worried that the wording read it was for SoCal residents, even though there were plenty of reviews on the website of nonresidents using it no problem, I felt it was a little suspect. Also, it did mention that if you upgrade the pass, you will only get $151 of value instead of the $199 you are paying, so in a way its like you bought the Disneycard at full price.

Be careful with the Costco tickets...there are black out dates.

Why does lastminutetravel say "1 -day admission to either Disneyland Park OR Disney's California Adventure Park". Doesn't park hopper mean you can just go to Disneyland AND California Adventure?

My friend and I went in Sept, we are from Phoenix, and after talking to Disney on the phone while we were debating to buy the tix while at Costco, disney told me it wasn't a problem to use them, the only possibility might be that costco doesn't sell them to you. But they sold them with out a hitch. I was also at Disneyland one time and needed an extra day ticket, and the booth lady asked if I was socal res because they had specials for them, and since I wasn't she said I should ask somebody in line was a socal res and she could sell them a ticket for me. I've also done the ebay sellers with out a problem. I'm always looking to save a $.

A park hopper is good for both parks, but Disney does have single park tickets as well so make sure what you're getting is a hopper. FYI any ticket that has more then 1 day on it at DLR is automatically a park hopper. :)

You can also get 2 day, 1 park per day tickets.

Really? I've never seen those...where would you get them? I mean I know they've had the So Cal special where you got 2 single park single day tickets for a special price but I wasn't aware the general public could buy them that way.

Huh, I looked at DL.com and yup, there they are....crazy, but I guess you do save $10 to stay in one park instead of going to both. :) That must be new tho, I don't remember ever seeing them before. Of course it has been like 4 years since we bought actual tickets. lol

LOL, Pwings maybe before you renew your AP next time you should leave a little gap and get a regular ticket. Just for the experience. Seriously though I'm not sure when they started those or if they've always been there, but it makes sense for people wanting to do, one day in each park. :)

It does make sense, but I think I'd pay the $10 more to be able to park hop. LOL
We don't have plans for APs for a while, if we are all able to go to DL in the spring with DD14's band group (we would go separately but at the same time to watch her perform) we will "just" have hoppers, but they'd probably be more then just 2 days. :)

We have annual passes that we bought at the Park (upgraded parkhoppers) - so when it's time to renew is there a better deal than just renewing at the Park or online on Disney's site?

Does anyone know how it works if you upgrade a 2-day park hopper pass to an AP-- can I still do the monthly payment plan, or would I have to pay the difference in full?

No, but disney may again offer a discount if you renew ahead, they mailed an offer that saved about $20 this year right after pass prices went up.

This has come up before about upgrading from a PH to a payment plan. But since I live outside the SoCal area it doesn't apply to me and I don't recall the details. Sorry.

Just an update. GetAwayToday has LastMinuteTravel beat on the price of the promo 4-day hopper tix. They're $178 there, while (after the $2 fee) they're $179 at LMT and $182 on Disneyland.com. Their site says to purchase 2 weeks in advance, so I bought ours today. Overall, we saved $28 off of buying them at Disneyland.com - that'll pay for a couple of days parking!

planegirl~.. the $20 dollar savings is like that ever year.. deluxe and premium have this discount only! If you RENEW before the expiration date on your pass, you get to $20 off, but really it’s $20 less you pay from the actual new pass price. Basically when I renewed this year I renewed at last years new pass price for a premium(which is $20 less then this years!)…. and last year it was the same thing, when I renewed I got the pass price from the year before. and when I renew next year I will only pay this year’s pass price…. get it now? it also does not matter if you do it at the park or online (renewing) you still get the $20 less AS LONG AS you do the renewal before your pass expires!!!

here maybe this will help, i will use my pass as example:

Right now a premium annual pass is $459.00

But when I renewed this October (even though the prices rose) I paid $20 less then that,

$459-$20=$439…..

$439 was LAST years premium pass price(if bought new)

so get it now?

I just checked all three sites.

For my party (3 adult one child) 4 day parkhoppers were:

Disney - $781
Lastminutetravel - $733.67
Getawaytoday - $765

Not sure about shipping costs.

Hi all , new here and I am still confusing.

I am planning to take my 9yo cousin there this Friday, and I am debating if I should get AP yet (since he comes here few times a year, and we live closeby).

I saw the deal at LMT for the Park Hopper with Bonus MM...We would like to taste the water first and see if its worth to upgrade to AP. Do you guys know if its ok to upgrade to AP from LMT's PH bonus ticket? If so, how much difference do I need to pay when upgrading? When do I have to do that? day 1 of the ticket or?

Thanks so much for your help!! Really appreciated!

If you have kids 11-18, the cheapest way to get hopper passes is to have your kids take one of the educational YES programs, if you can find a group on the boards that includes one of the days you are going (BTW, we are just one short of having a group for 2/21, so if anyone would like for at least one child to take a Disney Animation class on that day, this will give you the best deal).
