Where is my FAVORITE DCL cast member?

How do you go about requesting server? We are on the Fantasy in July and with my 85 year old parents and want to make it extra special!

It's easy ... contact your Travel Agent, tell them you would like to "request a server" on your upcoming cruise. If you booked your cruise with Disney Vacation Club (DVC) ... you will need to contact DVC. If you booked your cruise directly through Disney Cruise Line (DCL) ... you will need to contact DCL. HOWEVER, if you booked a cruise while onboard a ship, and referenced a Travel Agent on your reservation form, that means you "technically" booked through that Travel Agent. In this case, you will need to contact your Travel Agent.

When you make your request, supply as much information as possible. If you only know the server's FIRST name, and their home country ... that SHOULD work. However, if you know their last name ... that will help even more!

You ALSO have the ability to specify the size of the table at which you dine. If you are a party of 4, and would like to dine alone ... merely request a "tabletop" of 4. If you are a party of 2, and would like to dine with others, merely request a tabletop of 4, 6 or 8.

We had

SERGIO asst SERVER Sept. 2011 Dvc Member Cruise. I requested him for our Dec 2011 Dream cruise. We were pleased he was promoted to SERVER and was our server for that cruise. At that time he was going to the Fantasy. We have our Member cruise this Sept , another Dream Dec 2012 cruise and a 2013 Nov30th Fantasy cruise. Im hoping we can find out where he is to request him.

Do you know Sergio's last name, or his home country? If so, that would make it easier to request him on an upcoming cruise.

If SERGIO was transferred from the Dream to the Fantasy (late 2011), odds are, he will be part of the Fantasy crew. Some of the crew on the Fantasy have already begun rotating off for vacation ... while others will be on the ship for 2-4-6 months before heading off for vacation. This ensures there isn't a "new" crew on the Fantasy (Disney learned from their previous mistakes).

For your Fantasy cruise ... consider requesting SERGIO as your FIRST REQUEST, but also, consider selecting another cast member as a secondary request ... in case SERGIO is not aboard the ship for your specific cruise.

For your Dream cruise ... since SERGIO likely will not be on the Dream, consider requesting someone previously mentioned in this thread.

We had

My favorites were Max who was club host on the Fantasy, he just got off for vacation. Stewart who was a awesome bartender on the Fantasy when I cruised and Pierre-Luc who is cruise staff and just got on the Fantasy for a second contract on that ship, he will be on till October 6th as of now.

Server: Ozen from Turkey
Head Server: Ali also from Turkey I believe
Palo: Felice (I think that is how it is spelled - I believe from Italy)
Edge Counselor - Jack - we had him twice now - and my daughter just thinks he is the coolest guy EVER. I am really hoping he moved over to the Fantasy There is another counselor from Edge whose name escapes me, that my daughter also loved, who I believe will be on the Fantasy with us in Sept

Stewart who was a awesome bartender on the Fantasy when I cruised .

I second Stewart on the Fantasy. He was in Meridian and we also saw him on Castaway Cay.

Our MDR servers on the Fantasy were fanstastic. We had Fabijan from Croatia and Anthony from France. Gabriella in Palo was also excellent.

I would like to know if anyone knows if Ponz is on the Magic right now? if you are a frequent dcl cruiser you will probably know who I'm speaking of. he has been on every DCL cruise we have taken. he is magnificent with remembering names! I do not know his last name but he works in the entertainment side of things...Bingo , games, animation drawing , etc. Every time he sees me he knows my name!

also, our all time favorite server is Alex Campo from the philippines! my sister and her husband returned a couple of weeks ago from the fantasy and requested alex but was told he is on the dream . if you are cruising on the Dream anytime soon do yourself a favor & request him! I AM TELLING YOU, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! if you didn't happen to see him on the Dream PLEASE give him a message for me. ( I am giving you time now to write this down for me )

please tell him that Pam & family(Glen &Allison) from NC and Jill & family from the UK said hello & we are dying to see him & we will be on the Magic August 17th.

you do not know how much I would appreciate this! we were on the dream in 2010 & he was on vacation at the time and our cruise just was not the same without him!

I was friends with Ponz on Facebook, but he disappeared off it. Also disappeared off a few others I know friends lists, so we are thinking he might have deleted Facebook. My friend did get off the Wonder today and didn't see him and my friend who was on the Magic didn't mention he was on.

April 15, 2012 - favorite pool server, Ernan (from the Philippines), on the Dream

I can't believe Ernan is still onboard the ships after all these years. We've sailed with him for over 10 years and LOVE him! He is the best. Sadly, now that he's on the Dream unless he change ships or the Dream undergoes some big changes we won't get to see him again.

Alex Ocampo is great. We had him as a server on one of our shorter cruises.

Our favorite cast member is our server Sammy (Sompong) from Thailand. I won't even try writing out his last name, but it's printed on our tip stubs. Unfortunately, Sammy has no interest in computers, so email is out of the question. Last we heard, he was intending to stay on the Magic. Has anyone seen Sammy? It's been over a year since our last Magic cruise, and we won't be back until July 2013 for Greece.
