WITW friends...my fellow Texans living in West, Texas (a small town 20 miles north of Waco) desperately need your prayers. There was a fire/explosion at a fertilizer plant around 8 this evening. Every building within a 4 block radius has been destroyed or damaged including a large apartment complex and a nursing home. There have been UNOFFICIAL (stress unofficial...so far confirmed dead are 5 firemen; 1 police officer) reports of 60-70 killed and hundreds injured. The entire town of 3,000 is currently being evacuated.

I get to see a sunrise everyday that i have to drive for almost 2 hours to my bosses office. Oh how i love doing that NOT

You have to drive 2 HOURS to work everyday??? You might as well move to Orlando NOW instead of waiting until you retire!

That is sad. Do they think it was related to the explosions in Boston?

So sorry about the explosion in Texas! At least it was an accident and not set off by some crazy person. Still so sad!

Ya very sad what happened in Texas

We had something like that happen up north but it was a paper mill, it was just a combination of the fine particles in the air combined with a few other things and it just takes one little ignition to spark it all and boom the place is levels.

But I am sort glad to hear that the dead toll is only around 15 and no not the 60-70 you said before


i saw the video of the explation and it look very big, i guess it had to be so make that big of an inpact in the surrounding area
