There are FOUR teams in the STATE in 4A, Div. II still playing football next week and the BELLVILLE BRAHMAS are one of them! :cheer2:

Took a little longer to get rolling tonight...played a REALLY good team and only had a 10-7 lead at halftime. THEN came the 2nd half and they broke loose for a 31-7 victory! Some HAPPY Brahmadora's , team members and fans at games end! :cheer2:

I told David I wanted for Christmas! Even visited with one of Allie's high school soccer teammates! And what a crowd! Visitors side sits 4,700; it was FULL...our entire town's population is 3,800! :faint:

Your high school stadium is do big. It’s bigger or the same size as our college stadiums. High schools around here don’t have stadiums the have a few bleachers

High school football is BIG in Texas! Playoffs are played at a neutral site; our home town stadium just seats around 5,000 total. The stadium we were in last night is shared by 6 area high schools. In fact, it's the one our nephew coached in a few years ago when he was still in coaching. The one we'll be in this coming Friday is even larger. We'll move from Houston area to Austin area since we're playing semi-finals...we play the region winner of the west/central Texas schools/we're in the south central region. It's pretty cool for the kids...especially the State Finals in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. I must admit THAT would be absolutely awesome but don't want to build up my hopes. This weeks game will be really, REALLY hard to win. But, like our newspaper editor says, there ARE only "good teams" left since it's down to 4 so they all have a 50/50 chance. My nephew (the former coach) has already booked rooms for Dallas :rolleyes:

! I told him DON'T DO IT...NO JINXING...but he says it's pretty hard to "jinx" a good, strong defense! We won't do....won't book anything until after Friday night and HOPE it's difficult finding a room close to the stadium by then. :rotfl:
