☺ You'll be getting the tail end of this winter storm. We got really lucky; just a tiny bit of sleet around noon....enough to cover the pool deck and picnic table but it's been at 30 all day; low tonight in low 20's. Allie and Emily had power stay on so they were doing okay; went out and played a little this afternoon. Had a nice dusting of snow last night and couldn't resist going out and throwing a few snowballs! Stay warm tomorrow; we won't get above freezing here either and they canceled school so everyone is getting a nice 4 day weekend.

Still not as cold as it was last February when it was 40 degrees in the dorm! Their winter temperatures are usually around 20 degrees colder than we have here but during the summer it's HOT everywhere! Those August practices for the soccer team are brutal! They were just put under an extended "winter watch" since everything is frozen; basically told to just plain stay off the roads! Will be back in the 50's by Saturday/Sunday!

Prime Time or Sci Fi?
We’ve had sleet snow and freezing rain all day. Had a remote learning day but got to work from home. Usually we still have to go in but we were told we could stay home. Good thing the roads were really bad.

Glad you got to stay home! But why couldn't you work from home when your family was sick? Still think that was so unfair! I can't imagine how bad your roads were; ours were a mess and we got VERY little freezing rain/sleet/ice. Did get 1/2 inch of rain before the cold arrived and any moisture from that froze. We've been at freezing and lower 2 days now except for today....for about an hour....when the temperature was 33! Upper 20's for the next 5 nights! Did the rest of your family have to work? Sounds like a cold mess!
