which is great when we go to sell in a few months

my moms place is getting listed at the end of Feb. she is getting photos taken on Feb 16 and then listing the following week.

we saw a place we all liked it was listed at 1.9mil but sold for 2.33

we have to wait till we sell my moms place to have the cash in hand to make on offer on a new place

but the market is crazy right now if you like a place you pretty much have to over pay and out bid a hand full of other people all trying to do the same thing

That's a big difference in temps. We didn't get the amount of snow they said we were going to get. Maybe 6-8 inches it's hard to tell because the wind was blowing and the snow was so fine it just blew everywhere so there are snow drifts. Where we go in Maine got 24 inches.

YES...it will seem REALLY cold for them; she's hoping their classes go online so they don't have to drive to campus, park and walk to class! IF they loose power they're going to stay with friends still in the dorm. They'll be right on the "snow/ice line"; hoping it's snow...a lot less dangerous than ice! Driving back from doctors appointment this morning was slow; we're getting pretty heavy rains and it's extending the full way back. Looked like you escaped the worst of it this weekend by the Weather Channel maps. We watched all weekend; looked miserable and some of those drifts! The reporter would pick the snow up and the wind would just blow it away it was so light and fine! Really looked like the coastal areas had it BAD. They didn't have reporters in Maine but kept saying how heavy it was snowing there! Glad you "escaped" the worst!

OH JEFF! WOW! But honestly can't say "move to Texas" anymore since it's the same way here! Listed homes are getting 25-40% more than they are listed for and they sell FAST. Your neighbors stats are ... ! You will have a HECTIC few months ahead! Will you be able to put in your contract that your family needs to STAY until you find a new place? My nephew's house sale went the that fast too but they were able to move in with his wife's Mother while they're waiting for the new house to be completed. He's moving "home"; bought some of the land I inherited from Mom. They'll be driving over an hour to work every day once they make the permanent move! You don't want to end up in a hotel for however long it takes to get a place for your family! Crazy housing market now!

Tho housing market is just crazy my son wants to buy but doesn’t want to spend that much over asking. Houses in our are are selling for average 50 thousand over asking and are only on the market a few days. So many are cash offers too. It’s crazy. He is trying to be patient and wait for the market prices to come down.
