Yes, yesterday was delicious! It rained all day! Such a welcome relief. Last Wed. morning we had a lightening event and there were 23 new fires up here. 5 near me. Near my friends and neighbors. Helicopters over all of us for days. I haven't seen a helicopter since it started raining. I hope that the rain put the fires out. We have two more 100+ degree days coming up but then I hope that's the end of this horrible season.

You've had quite an unusual season Denise; a taste of "our world" when it comes to high summer temperatures. Ironically, WE had a taste of Diane's world in February! Keeps life interesting. Glad you finally got some rain.

My husbands anniversary gift ... to himself! He was gone Saturday morning when I got up and just left a note that said "I'll be back later". I thought he may be "truck shopping" since he'd been looking at models on the computer Friday night and I was right Picked it up this afternoon; got more "bells and whistles" than I knew existed ...even corrects itself if you veer into the next lane on a freeway. At least the seat adjusts high enough so I can see out! I had to sit on pillows to drive the other trucks he's had!

I love the interior! It will be very comfortable on our long trips to Brownwood. I'll probably never drive it though! It's like driving a "tank"!
