Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

Wow Jeff! I would think you'd have a/c though I'm sure it has never, ever been 122 there before. Ever! Can you buy a window unit? a portable unit? I had a window unit, thank goodness! I wouldn't be making it through this without it. But it's in the front room, the tv computer are in the back room. I have ordered one of those portable ones, it won't be here until Friday but I'll be ready next time. And it's only cooling off to the 90's after this. Today is our hottest day. It's 100 now at 11:55. It's supposed to get up to 110 today. 109 tomorrow. I know lots of people up here who do not have any a/c. They have blankets over their windows to keep out the light.

I hate to think this is our new normal and thank goodness there haven't been any fires near me!!! and thank goodness I haven't lost my power!

But I am getting a lot of use out of my Disney cooling cloth. It does really help.

yes we bought a window unit but it will not be here for another week, thou

we had a portable one before but it broke and we did not know about it before it was too late and every where is out.

yes this heat is not normal for us at all. we are not built for heat up here lol

This is from Fantasyland. I was outside by an "attraction", a shop and a food service.

That's the way it is here too. Everything that cools is sold out. I ordered a portable a/c but not in time. Thank goodness my window unit still worked!!!! I haven't used it in years!!

I'm not built for heat either! lol

:grouphug: ... like we're not built for the cold down here! At least, with our fireplace, we can always stay warm. Not much you can do with the heat w/o AC. I "feel your pain"...when we loose power during a hurricane it's MISERABLE. The only "hint" I have is "the less clothes you have on the better"! :rolleyes1 😅:tink:

Inside or outside?

I remember growing up with no AC in the house or car. Pool is up to 78
rock n roller coaster?
Where are we? HS? Tower of Terror?

GOOD mood this afternoon; my white crepe myrtle is blooming for the FIRST TIME EVER (guess our February freeze "woke it up"); Allie joined us briefly for dinner between soccer lessons (she's done GREAT the past few weeks with private soccer lessons....added 5 students this week alone :goodvibes); David completing the backsplash area of the cabinets and finally getting brave enough to check my latest report from our financial advisor party:, it's been a good day!:goodvibes

We didn't have AC as a child either but lived on one of the highest hills in our community and almost always had a cool breeze blowing through the windows. That didn't help much though out in the fields :rotfl2:! I remember many days where Mama wouldn't "let" 😉 us out in the cotton or corn fields between 11 and 4 PM; heat was AWFUL, especially among those tall corn stalks! Daddy DID finally get an AC for my room when David was in Vietnam. He came back to my room to visit with me after I'd gotten the letter that David had been shot; as we were talking he said, "Damn, it's hot back here!". I laughed and told him, "Daddy, I've been telling you that all summer!" He came home from work the next day with a portable AC unit and had an electrician lined up for the next day to install it. :lovestruc

I haven't checked our pool in about 4 days but I'm guessing it's probably down to 84, maybe 86 by now. With the cooler days and rain showers for 3 days it should be cooler. than the 90 from a week ago. If you keep your high temperatures a few more days you'll catch up with me! :thumbsup2:tink:

Attraction, shop or food service? Is it always there?

Let's just say I'm glad I don't have any neighbors :goodvibes:

One more day of 108 degrees. I go out and water down Tootsie ever 30 min. She is still alive. Can't walk hardly at all but when she's laying around she doesn't seem to be in any pain. Tomorrow it will cool off to 99!

Mickey's PhilharMagic? :tink:

This is from the old/original part of Fantasyland. I was outside by an "attraction", a shop and a food service.

Name all 3 for the win! and this was in a _______?

It is not from a restroom. It's not near Mickey's Philharmagic.

That's why David would LOVE living in the country...NO NEIGHBORS! 😂 Good news on Tootsie; heck...I DON'T FEEL LIKE WALKING when it gets really hot! Just got back from my sisters and helping her set up her "Garage Mart" sale this weekend. I was out 1 1/2 hours and told her I couldn't do it anymore :faint:! Didn't feel good and took my blood pressure when I got home...it was 95/66 :faint:...THAT explained why I was dizzy, disoriented, had a headache and SOOOOOOO tired! Been working on raising the numbers as I cool off. I noticed this morning the temperatures on the Washington and Oregon coasts were "a little cooler" so hopefully the heat wave has "broken"! :tink:
