Sugar cookie "duty" again this morning ! Tennis team going to Regionals and tennis coach NEEDED her "good luck cookie" AND Dora tryouts tomorrow. Long afternoon ahead for the young ladies waiting for the results of their auditions will be supplemented by a "little sugar". ☺

Summer? What do you call the season in July and August? It's still spring up here.

I like the flag....it's colorful and pretty and I can put anything I want too in my yard. Some days we DO have "summer" temperatures, some days we have "fall" temperatures so I took the snowman down and put up Mickey and Minnie. It makes me happy to look out the window and see my favorite Disney characters. "Summer is a state of mind" and we're IN that state of mind as the school year comes to an end.

After suffering from a stomach virus since Thursday morning Miss Katie was able to make Brahmadora tryouts and she not only made the team, she made the ELITE TEAM! She and 3 of her freshman teammates were named to the top team!



She got the results at 6:30 and they immediately RAN to the car for an hour and a half drive to dance competition in Houston! Her solo was scheduled for 8:20; they arrived at 8, quickly got in her costume and took the stage! Results at 11 this evening but she was pleased with her performance....and is feeling much better! I received a phone call this afternoon from the Director asking if I would PLEASE come for Leadership results to take pictures. Worked perfectly since Katie was unable to stay for these results she wanted Allie to FaceTime her so she could listen. She was SUPER excited when, what she calls her "nerd friend" , earned one of the positions! Was so much fun watching the excitement of the girls.....especially the 2 named 1st Lieutenant and Captain!
