The school board of the town I live in voted to continue with remote learning. The town where I work hasn't made a decision yet.

Are they going to do remote the entire year or just the first 6 weeks grading period? The Houston ISD is doing remote until mid-October and then they hope to do some remote, some in-school. UIL has given permission for schools doing remote to participate in fall sports. Our District hasn't announced 100% yet if they'll do remote or in class but they have given parents the option of remote learning is they want it. Not sure which direction they'll go. Will you have to report to the office if they do remote?

This is not a "people statue" but it is made of concrete. It's in the WS but not from China or Italy.

Lucky guess! I know it looked familiar but couldn't find it on any of my pictures so I just started guessing!

Well that wouldn't be good! Surely they could find SOMETHING for you to do! That bites that all the high school have cancelled fall sports! You'd think they'd find SOME WAY to give those kids an opportunity to play! I talked to one of last years soccer players yesterday and she said the Jr. College she attends has moved their fall sports to the spring so she'll be playing soccer then. Wish the high schools would do that too. Spring sports traditionally has fewer spectators and they're able to "space out" better than with football or volleyball.
