They were 99% sure it would happen but still doesn't make the "final word" easier to take. Allie and her best friend were SO excited about the trip. Sara and her best friend did a graduation trip by themselves back in 1996; she was hoping Allie could experience a graduation celebration trip too. I'm going to suggest they try to go the first week in January; pretty sure their school schedules will allow them to do that. If they can't get a DVC rental I'll pay for accommodations for them. I really, really want to make a trip happen for them, they've looked forward to it for 4 YEARS!

Not sure what's going on. Just for the fun of it, Sara called the vacation planning CM's and they told her to cancel the May 31st arrival day and make arrival date June 1st. No explanation but would enable them to KEEP their reservations until further announcements are made. Still don't think the trip will happen but she changed their flights to June 1 just in case.

Is this a place you would see if you had a fastpass? We never went through the queue we had fastpasses for all our rides. I only know there is a room with the blue avatar guy in the tube thing.

That really sucks. I would think early next year might work. College winter breaks are about a month long so she should be off the first half of January. Not sure I would feel safe going there that early.

My sister took her whole family a couple of years ago arriving on January 1st and it was perfect. Christmas decorations were still up but a ton of people checked out on the 1st. They had reservations at the CR and got an UPGRADE to a MK view! They watched the fireworks from their balcony! I'd be willing to bet both of the girls will have that first week in January off so it would be perfect. Sara's been thinking about being one of the "first ones back" and she thinks it might be pretty cool. At least everything SHOULD be nice and clean! Their fastpasses haven't "disappeared" yet so we'll see.

Yes, you would see this if you had a fastpass. We're the same way...still haven't gone through the entire queue. The first time we experienced FoP was at rope drop EMH and I was so excited thinking we'd get to walk through the queue. They directed half of us through the regular line and half through the fastpass line until the park officially opened and we ended up in the FP line!
