FUN evening...started with delay of SIL's arrival due to flooded roads, dinner at Taste of Texas with SIL's brother and his family who just arrived from Louisiana, Houston evening traffic, beautiful Theater District and AWESOME seats for the Houston Ballet performance of The Nutcracker...

Sounds like a fun time and Taste of Texas sounds really good.

Sounds like a fun time and Taste of Texas sounds really good.

It was pretty cool! The Wortham Theater was TOTALLY flooded during Hurricane Harvey. They lost everything...costumes, sets, scripts, musical instruments...all of it so everything was new along with a "new version" of the Nutcracker. I was totally amazed...dancers were marvelous and from all over the world...Cuba, Japan, Australia, Russia...very talented ...especially enjoyed the solo performed by the Russian. Taste of Texas compares with Le Cellier...steaks, steaks, steaks...and, believe it or not ...the Princesses favorite...grilled QUAIL BITES! I'm going to enjoy my dessert this afternoon...was to stuffed to eat it after the meal so got the SNICKERS PIE to go! Really nice evening.

I don't like the short weeks when I'm on vacation. The week went by so fast.

...and you have a REALLY short vacation. I can't believe you have to go back next week already but then you will get "snow days" in the future and we'll be in school! Enjoy your next 5 days!
