Glad you had a nice trip!! Where did you stay? So sad about the 2 workers dying yesterday at DW :(

:crazy2::oops:o_O...Diane...not sure you want to read what YOUR winter will be like according to the Farmer's Almanac! Actually...ALL of you living "up north" are in for a cold one! :grouphug:

Hold onto your wool caps: we may be in for a brutal winter.

Unlike other news stories predicting a warm, wet winter, the Farmers' Almanac predicts a "colder-than-normal" season, stretching from the Continental Divide to the Appalachians.

“Contrary to the stories storming the web, our time-tested, long-range formula is pointing toward a very long, cold, and snow-filled winter," said editor Peter Geiger in a statement on the company's website.

The popular forecaster said frigid conditions are expected in mid-February across the New England, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and the Midwest.

Above-normal snowfall is predicted for the Great Lakes, Midwest, New England and Pacific Northwest, they said.

Stormy conditions are expected to hang around through the official start of spring.:tink:

:sad::sad: Welcome back...:sad::sad:...SO hard to come home, isn't it! Saw last night on posts from those waiting to attend the Halloween party that the rain was STILL disrupting things :headache: ... and a few others watching the tropics for 2-3 predicted weather systems next week! So glad all went well though and now it's "welcome back to the routine :headache:! Our kiddos here in Bellville went back to school Monday; quite a few others in our area began the week before already. DGD's were ready; as an office administrators DD was NOT! :crazy2: :tink:

Hadn't heard about worker deaths at DW yesterday so checked Orlando Sentinal...the construction accident was near DW on Chelonia Parkway...

The fatal accident was at the building site of a JW Marriott Hotel at Bonnet Creek and not on Disney property. The hotel is slated to be completed by 2019, Tejada-Monforte said.

A spokesman for Marriott International said the construction was managed by the developer, DCS Investments of West Palm Beach, and directed any other questions to Orange County deputies.

SO much construction going on in that area and a lot of industrial accidents :sad2:...a worker was killed ON Disney property near The POP in July while working on the tram construction site. :sad1: :tink:
