I read on USA Today that it was 48 degrees in Anchorage Alaska yesterday. So apparently, it's warmer there!

I think we are having a warmer than usually winter. It got up to 33 today. It has been in the single digits at night but that's normal. Sometimes it gets below freezing here but not this year.

I saw that on Yahoo last night; they were walking around in tee shirts!

Denise...I thought you had temperatures a few days ago in the single/low double digits? And more snow than normal? Maybe I'm getting your weather mixed up with Diane!

We should have expected a colder winter after Hurricane Harvey! Unexplained fact that Texas always has a cold winter after a major hurricane in the Gulf. Strange but true. And now we're looking forward to the high 60's/low 70's this weekend!

Wow! Disney is really trying to keep everyone happy. That's great!

I told my sister on the first day to BE NICE TO THE CM'S! Kindness goes a long way and to remember it's not THEIR fault. AND...to tell my nephew to "chill"...he's been handling things well since then and it's resulted in PIXIE DUST!

I did have one morning where it got to -1 but that is not unusual. It has been like 20's during the day and teens or occasionally single digits at night. 13 this morning. And I have had 2 snow storms and have a foot of snow on the ground. But that is all normal. There have been years when it stays below zero and we have 2 feet of snow on the ground. But - we are supposed to get more snow this weekend, but with warmer temps so, I cannot say this winter is worse than normal. I'd say, so far, it's a pretty normal to better than normal winter. So far......

What a morning and we haven't even reached NOON yet!

#1...Facebook comments from niece-in-law...6 year old great-nephew has turned into an adrenaline junky after his first ride on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! They put their extra FP's to good use when he wanted to immediately go on Big Thunder and Space Mountain and plan to head over to HS this afternoon to see if he's tall enough for RnR and ToT! He's gone CRAZY at DW! He's the "quiet/thoughtful" one!
#2...POOR DIANE...Weather Channel calling the weather event a "Bomb Cyclone" it's so bad in the NE today. Thank goodness school was cancelled last evening already because the videos on WC are down right scary!

#3...text from Ed and he's finally admitted he's DOPEY ...29 degrees this morning on the way to the starting spot for the marathon!

#4...text from my cousin forwarding a picture from Ghana. They've installed a water filtration system that turned "mud" into drinkable water...amazing. The group got to meet the elders of the village and Justin HAD A YOUNG LADY PRESENTED TO HIM FOR MARRIAGE! A young lady in the group was PROPOSED TOO! They politely declined but to say the villagers were grateful is an understatement! He's bringing soccer balls for the kiddos on his next visit and they're anxious to get back today.

...and then there's #5 ...DD is on the way to the doctor with Redstorm following the FIRST game of the weekend tournament in Waller...getting an MRI ON HER FOOT AGAIN!

Yes...this is from DS. DD collects Jim Shore too! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his figurines! I gave her the most adorable Tinkerbell one a few years ago! But...this is not Jim Shore and not from the Christmas store. It's in the vicinity of the Boathouse but not directly related to it.
