Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

Went to town this morning. Got there too early for the farm store and the nursery. Guess they open at 9:00 but Walmart was a breeze. No lines. Well stocked. Even plenty of TP and paper towels. I even got Lysol wipes! :yay: Grocery store was well stocked too. Only a few people had masks on. I had a bandana that I pulled up if I got near anyone. And gas was $1.84!!!!! I cannot remember the last time it was that low.

I still have my ticket to fly back east June 3 -10. Do y'all think I will be able to go?

:cool1: Good deal on the stocked shelves! I made a quick trip into Walmart Saturday morning also for flowers for Katie. It was almost noon and I noticed people had toilet paper and paper towels in their baskets so I'm guessing they were well stocked too. I just went straight to the fresh flowers, used self-checkout and was out the door. I did wear my mask though...there was more of a crowd than I was comfortable with and Brenham is still adding cases to their total on an almost daily basis. I'd say 75% of the people I saw had masks on. We're at about the same price for gas; good to have it below $2.00 but that price is killing the oil industry. A lot of friends suffering because of the collapse in oil prices. 😢 I'd rather pay a little bit more at the pump than see that aspect of the economy collapse. As for flying back east...:confused3! I guess it's mostly what you're comfortable with. If the airline hasn't cancelled the flight I'd say you're good to go but I just don't know if I'd WANT to go to an area of the country still having problems. East coast has leveled off; middle America is "so-so" but the east still seems a "little hot". SHOULD be better by June but that's an unknown. I think I'd wait until mid-May to decide. Sara still hasn't cancelled the graduation trip to DW the first part of June; she's holding off as long as she can on that decision too. :tink:

👩‍🎓 SO EXCITED...the high school principal called Sara to ask permission for Allie to come to the school tomorrow with 9 other representatives of the Class of 2020 to discuss GRADUATION! They have a virtual meeting with the Texas Education department tomorrow morning to see what they'll be allowed to do. They then want input from the seniors to get some sort of graduation ceremony! 👩‍🎓🙏👩‍🎓

We're still PRAYING the Education Board won't CANCEL; postponement we can deal with and there are some good ideas "out there" to make it work! Allie and her BFF are working on details of those ideas this afternoon. :goodvibes 👩‍🎓 While I would LOVE to be there, if they just have to limit guests to parents I'm okay with it...just want them to have their ceremony and get to "take that walk"! 🙏:tink:

Park, resort or other?

Another 2 graduation projects done tonight! :dance3: A soccer "ball" with 5 of the senior soccer pictures and a #4 photo stand that has 18 soccer game pictures. Fun to do but a little sad when I looked at pictures from the last game...and we didn't even know it was the LAST game. 😕😣

It makes me sick what is happening to the economy :( I'd rather pay more for gas too but my tank was full yesterday when I went to town and I couldn't even buy any gas. Almost everything on Main St. in Colville was closed. We have so few people, I don't see why we couldn't open the smaller stores in some way. Even when everything was normal, there were never more than one or two people in the shops when I was there.

Good luck with DW opening by June. If I had to guess, I would guess that they will open Disney Springs by June. And there is some sports thing they are hoping to do which will use the sports complex and Caribbean Beach Resort. Then they will start opening the resorts this summer. And I'm guessing the parks won't open until Sept. MK first. Epcot last. With no parades, fireworks or indoor shows and limited park entry, virtual queues and they say, sanitizing each ride vehicle between riders. How could that be? A quick spray as they slide by? A CM jumping on the pirate boat and wiping it all down? You'd have to really be mentally ready for lower expectations.

And I don't expect Disneyland in CA to open at all this year. SOOOOO glad I went right before this all took off!
