Diane...as a parent of an athlete and Annie...former soccer player (tell your Dad this story )...son-in-law "got in trouble" today at the high school soccer game. This was at a scrimmage played in Katy. The new soccer team has 7 former Redstorm members who were coached by SIL for 7 years. He couldn't help himself today and was "coaching" (aka YELLING) from the sidelines at his former players as in..."...you're off-sides; ...you're suppose to be playing DEFENSE...PASS THE BALL, etc." DD was totally embarrassed until she got the last laugh. His phone went off...TEXT MESSAGE FROM THE REAL COACH of the Brahmanettes (they're good friends so this was all done with a "smile")..."Coach T...SHUT UP and don't make me have the ref come over there and ask you to leave...I'M THEIR COACH NOW" and she gave him a "thumbs up" from the field when he looked at her. DD was still laughing this evening when she told me the story. Hopefully he'll "mellow" before next year when Redstorm joins the team as a high school freshman! It reminded me of the scene from BLINDSIDE...in reverse!

OMG too funny. I see it a lot parents coaching from the sidelines. But usually just their own kid. DH is always watching the Blindside.

So tonight I did a bunch of crops but I will not start posting them until the 4th when I go
Back to work because I hardly go on my computer at home and I want to be able to answer question right away not 2 days from now lol

And as often as you have holidays and other days off, these should last a long time

Blindside and Remember the Titans...two of my FAVORITE movies! I watch them while working on my craft projects! Yep...Coach T considers his Redstorm team "his" girls and he's not shy about "helpful criticism" . Some of the girls are from divorced families and he's their substitute Dad; they stay at the house all the time; he feeds them, drives them around...they're "his" kids. At least he warned Coach Kay when she took the job that he would have a hard time staying out of the coaching. But...DD was SO embarrassed...she even moved her chair AWAY from him!

I was going to "hint" that Denise was close with the Meet/Greet question but didn't need to. Diane had all 3 covered...this is the snowman next to the dinosaur in front of the trees! The same one Denise used not to long ago for a crop; I thought she'd guess it on the first guess!

He would LOVE that but part of the agreement when he and his committee went to the School Board to get soccer into the athletic program was that any coaches had to already be employed by BISD. It broke his heart (he really, really wanted to coach these girls) but he didn't want to jeopardize the program so he consented. I watch Titans a lot but ALWAYS watch it before our high school has a big game. Puts me in "fan mode". A team to the south of us ...our dreaded rivals, the Tigers...won State 4 years in a row and it was their coaches practice to show Remember the Titans before EVERY game, starting with non-district! Great movie.
