Thanks It lasted an hour and after meeting with the hiring manager I got to meet with a few of the nurses in the department. The position is an Administrative Assistant in a hospital in their Heart Wellness/Cardiac Program.

Sounds like a place where there would be lots of opportunities for advancement! I hope you get the job! Sounds good since they took you around to meet the nurses!! Hope they let you know soon!

Oh geez! It may be Mickey's of Hollywood but I think it's a different shop. Once I show the big picture, you can tell me if I'm wrong.

I think it is Keystone Clothiers...the shop description lists "women's & men's fashion" as opposed to Mickey's of Hollywood's description "character T's, etc.". But, this is even more confusing ...this is the same building and notice the name "Disney & Co." on the sign! Disney & Co. is in the MK. I love their windows!

Earlier this month we brought you the announcement that metal detectors were being added at Walt Disney World Resort, now even more layers of security are being employed.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

“Walt Disney World is beefing up security even more, having sheriff’s deputies patrol on horseback at its entertainment district and tightening gun policies.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office’s mounted patrol unit is expected to start appearing at Disney Springs next month. Disney and a sheriff’s spokesman wouldn’t disclose how often the horses will walk the premises. Disney wouldn’t say what prompted use of the horses but said it had already been making plans for them before a Christmas night brawl at its dining and shopping complex that escalated into chaos when people mistakenly thought they’d heard gunshots.

Oh no I had Louisville on my college bowl card but then I changed it. Tonight was not a good night, I only had one team win. I was in first place but after todays games not anymore.

I'm sorry ...I thought they were going to pull it out but it wasn't meant to be. The quarterback is the 3rd string and just hasn't had a lot of practice time. I felt so bad for him; he did the best he could. Nice kid and did GREAT in Jr. College (he played at Blinn which is just 20 miles north of us...they always "put out" good players, in fact...Cam Newton quarterbacked for the Blinn Buccaneer's a few years ago) and the leading receiver was out due to injury. Just wasn't meant to be.

Diane...as a parent of an athlete and Annie...former soccer player (tell your Dad this story )...son-in-law "got in trouble" today at the high school soccer game. This was at a scrimmage played in Katy. The new soccer team has 7 former Redstorm members who were coached by SIL for 7 years. He couldn't help himself today and was "coaching" (aka YELLING) from the sidelines at his former players as in..."...you're off-sides; ...you're suppose to be playing DEFENSE...PASS THE BALL, etc." DD was totally embarrassed until she got the last laugh. His phone went off...TEXT MESSAGE FROM THE REAL COACH of the Brahmanettes (they're good friends so this was all done with a "smile")..."Coach T...SHUT UP and don't make me have the ref come over there and ask you to leave...I'M THEIR COACH NOW" and she gave him a "thumbs up" from the field when he looked at her. DD was still laughing this evening when she told me the story. Hopefully he'll "mellow" before next year when Redstorm joins the team as a high school freshman! It reminded me of the scene from BLINDSIDE...in reverse!

There was a brawl at DTD/DS? I know there was one with teenagers at some mall but didn't know there was one at DTD/DS.

Yes there was...I'm so mixed up on the days of the week but it's been about a week ago. It was on the West Side close to House of Blues and someone THOUGHT they heard which created panic. I'm trying to remember the details but I don't think a gun was found. I want to say this happened on or a day or so before Christmas Eve.
