Where, in the USA, do you plan to visit one day?

Congrats! We could always kidnap you, ;) but I don't think it's worth getting you kicked out of NHS and us going to jail! :D Hope you enjoy the trip and zoo. The St. Louis Zoo is one of the highlights of the city, imo.

Hmmm...that just leaves Maggie.:D
Not sure we'll be going to the zoo, I think that's Maggie, but we are going to be checking out the city somewhat, and I'm definitely looking forward to it. Never been there before.
And I agree, not worth the consequences.

Hmmmm good question......I would go with:

New York City
New Orleans
Savannah, GA
Charleston, SC
Las Vegas
San Francisco
New England in the fall

Maggie,
My goal is to visit all 50 states, too. I'm up to 38 so far.....:D

On my wish list:

GA, LA, MS, WA, HI, AL, AK, OR, ND, ID, OK, and AR

I would love to go to Tennesse to visit a couple of friends who live a half hr north of Knoxville

A DIS meet at the zoo? That would be fun!!!!! :bounce: Will said we're going to stay in a little town in Illinois (I forget the name), but drive across the bridge into St. Louis for the day. He said the zoo will take about 2-3 hours. That would be fun! We don't have a set date yet, but we can talk about it some more, that's for sure! :bounce: :bounce:

I forgot:

I want to go white water rafting on the Colorado through the Grand Canyon!

Thrity eight is so cool Pam! You're more than half way there! :Pinkbounc

Grand Canyon
Hawaii
New Orleans
Wrigley Field (not a Cubs fan, just want to see it)

North or South Dakota because absolutely no one talks about those states, and I've never met anyone from there.

We live about an hour from Niagara Falls (BTW it is not spelled Niagra as I keep seeing it here) and it was interesting to see that listed so frequently as a desired destination. It is wonderful but we tend to take it for granted. We own three weeks of timeshare and have done a lot of traveling in the last 7 years, but there are still some places I would like to go back to, or see for the first time. We can't get enough of Hawaii (own 2 weeks there) and of course you can't get tired of Orlando. We would also like to see a few more of the Carribean Islands, maybe Australia, lots of places in California, Colorado, etc. We have been to most of the places on everyone's wish list at least once and can agree heartily that they are worthwhile choices!

Things that I *haven't* done but would like to:

The Great Smoky Mountains
Blue Ridge Parkway
somewhere in West Virginia
Niagara Falls
Branson MO
Diamond hunting in Arkansas
Upstate New York, preferably during the fall colors
Williamsburg at Christmas (been there in the summer)
DC during the apple blossoms blooming (been there at other times)
Alaska
I forget the name of it, but there's this neat canyon in either AZ or UT, I think AZ, that is very narrow and sculpted sandstone
Colorado Springs area
Denver area

And things I want to get DH to that I've done but he hasn't:
Yellowstone & Tetons
Grand Canyon
Yosemite
Redwoods and/or Sequoia
Bryce Canyon
Arches
Lake Powell
Carlsbad

And that we've both done but want to do again:
Hawaii (together this time)
DL / WDW (Duh)
Colorado :D

I, too, would like to actually visit something in every state (rather than just landing on my way flying elsewhere). So far, I've been to 20 of them.

Grand Canyon
Mount Rushmore
Alaska
Yosemite National Park
Alcatraz Island
Key West
Hawaii - the Big Island

Places in the U.S. I would like to visit, but haven't had a chance to yet :

Disneyland
San Francisco
San Diego
Colorado
Hawaii
Vermont (so close, yet so far)

That's about it right now. I've visited a lot of places already.

Melinda that's interesting that you live almost next door to Vermont but have never been, yet have been other places across the nation. :) You need a Ben and Jerry's trip! Or I think Yankee Candle is there too?

Wrigley's Field, for a Cub's Game for me! I've just recently heard about Milenium Park! That's sounds like a great way to spend the summer day. Looks like I need another trip to Chicago. Maybe next summer! :Pinkbounc

I would love to visit state fairs across the country. That would be really interesting to me! Or like the regional bbq cook off, or pickle festivals etc. :p

These are some places that I want to go within the U.S.-

New York
San Fransisco
::MickeyMo Disneyworld ::MinnieMo
Alaska

If I could, I'd visit every state. I know my dad's been in 49 of 'em.

My spouse wants to take me to Texas sometime.

Born in Los Angeles, raised 15 minutes from the gates of Yosemite, moved to Maine for 6 years and have lived in Georgia for since 95. I have been lucky.

Have been to many many other states including HI, but I would love to see

Alaska
