Let me get this straight. First, she keeps collecting payments on contracts throughout the closure - even when people were facing lost income and financial hardships she wouldn’t defer payments. Then, she shuts down Reflections and removes any mention from the site WITHOUT SAYING A WORD to the membership.

Finally, they icing on the cake, when she sat in the planning meetings for the parks, she let them role the members who have booked future DVC stays without tickets. Where was she to defend us? Why wasn’t she pounding on Chapek’s desk demanding you leave ticket sales open for DVC members or you guarantee entry into “a park” during the length of their stay?

Absolute FAIL.

Why would you think she has anything to do with mortgage payments or Disneys decision to stop any construction of a hotel?

I have no idea how involved she would be in discussion of WDPR policy....for all we know, she did try to get them to sell tickets and they said no.

But why not email her and ask her if she had a seat at the table for what WDW did for parks?.

I don't know what explanation she owes owners around Reflections. No one owns points there.

If I’m unable to buy park passes for my guests in August, we’ll use Beach Club as a place to sleep and try Discovery Cove and Universal. We’ll probably eat breakfast in Disney and spend time together offsite. My grandson is special needs and it appears universal and seaworld are very accommodating.
If Disney won’t give DVC members the ability to buy park tickets, spend your vacation budget offsite.

The buck stops with her - she absolutely is involved in the first two decisions, she's in charge of DVC. And if she was NOT part of the Zoom meetings regarding park opening (considering it's only DVC resorts open) then there is a SERIOUS problem with puppet Terri!

Reflections is the same old DVC story, it’s happened before and will probably happen again. DVC has announced resort(s) before Eagle Pines (sold the land to Four Seasons) and possibly Newport Beach, CA...but never built. Older DVC members know no resort is official until they start selling contracts.

The whole park planning thing is crazy on many levels, so I’ll give you that.

2020 reservations without tickets should be accommodated bottom line. the thought that I am an owner but can’t go is ridiculous. whoever is in charge of ap sure put their input in on the zoom call. So if I spend 900 I am good to go, if I spend $40k I am SOL

I did try to email her but never did find a published email address. Does anyone know it?? The one I tried bounced.

Though I have not tried it, I found an online reference that asserted Terri Schultz's email is Terri.A.Schultz@disney.com. Her mailing address for sending a letter is:

Terri Schultz
Senior Vice-President

You own accommodation where the contract specifically unlinks it from the existence or availability of the theme park.

APs are offered by the parks division. DVC is not in that division, and none of your buy in pr dues pays for the parks.

We know what our contracts say. If Disney decides to sell park tickets to motel 8 travelers over DVC members, nothing we can do about it.
I can control where I spend my hard earned money. I’ll take the resort room and use what the resort offers at no charge and not spend a dime on property.
I really think universal should offer discounts to DVC members. I would guess we’re in the upper tier of disposable income and travel to Florida frequently.

You know what? We've all been saying that to people that come here for years, but at the end of a day like today, that really is all crap. We bought because of where it is and what it is and it was sold to us that way as well. At some point, we have to stop pretending that it's not supposed to be different. If it wasn't, we'd all be buying Merriot timeshare resales in Orlando off eBay for $10 (or whatever, but you get my point).

I Say it all the time too and have for years on the boards, but in the end, they do owe us something, even if it's nothing but a little (insert expletive here) courtesy for our investment and some consideration for the same.

Well, according to Illinois consumer law, it doesn't matter WHAT the contract says... only how it was marketed. 😉

Honestly, back when we purchased we did not buy DVC for the location near the parks. We bought for the immersive theming. If Marriott had done something with that level of theming, and it was significantly cheaper, we may have bought there.

We bought in due to Disney service and attention to detail. Resort theming was great but if Disney wasn’t the builder, no way would I have bought in.
Disney World founders did such a great job planning the entire resort, it’s almost impossible to screw it up. Greed and arrogance seem to always turn loyal customers away

And yet, they kept trying to keep them close the entire time to fit the opening of a park that has nothing to do with said contract. They only opened it up when they saw how much it would benefit them to use DVC in the process. But hey! It’s what we agreed to when we signed up to own DVC 😉

Sales, which includes financing is run by DVD and not DVC...so I don’t know how she would be in charge of development when that is a different division.

Just Don’t agree with you on those areas...
