Where everybody knows Bill’s Name *New 4/6 A picture with a DISer & pimping my PTR**

It must have seemed like overkill for the firefighters (EMTs?) to be called, but I suppose its "better safe than sorry." They don't want a guest or a CM getting hurt and you know from experience that not everyone knows the proper way to lift a person or to manipulate a w/c!
And, you never know when you might need the Jaws Of Life to extricate someone from Imagination!

Kidding aside, even though it was overkill for Imagination, I would imagine they probably just have a blanket rule that any time an evacuation is needed, they have to call the Fire Department. That would avoid CM uncertainty about whether or not the FD was required this time and for this ride.

The flowers were sweet, the food looks yummy and the pictures are great (you did an awesome job on your promise to take some that showed accessibility. There are lots I can use here:thumbsup2 )

Tracy, that Bill :lovestruc is definitely a keeper!!!

Aw Tracy, those are so beautiful!! You are such a lucky woman!! (I'm pretty sure Bill feels he is a pretty lucky guy too!)

You know this is a lot of responsibility.... I'll add this to Missa's list of things to remember. :thumbsup2 I'll be much to busy floating around SAB

Awwww..... He's so sweet!

Thanks, he is such a sweetie, it was a total surprise.

Tracy, I hope you don't mind but I'm going to borrow your roses for myself. My husband and I bought a pricey piece of art so agreed that we are doing nothing else for Valentine's Day. We've been married 25 years and this will be the first year I will not have flowers. Now that's a reason to cry. ;)

Aww Pakey, you can borrow anything of mine... except for Bill.

How sweet! The best gifts are always the ones that are for no reason other than to say I love you. You've got a good man!

He does this about 3 times a year, I am very, very lucky.

We saw Mulch, Sweat, and Shears briefly on our first trip. :thumbsup2

Beautiful flowers Tracy!

We will definately see Mulch again :thumbsup2.

Awww! What pretty flowers, Tracy! Now, please pass the kleenex...

Oh I needed Kleenex that day.

Whoops! I cannot believe I missed your last chapter! Where was I?

Oh, and I have to show Ed the picture of your beautiful (and very sentimental) bouquet of roses....

This afternoon (day before Valentine's) he announces that he's going to Walgreen's to get cards and on the way out, he asked, "You don't really need flowers or anything like that, right?"

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Well, that's what you get after 14 years of marriage. (That card better be BIG!!!)

Bill, you are sweet!

Kathy

Oh no he didn't?? :rotfl: He cracks me up. Bill said thank you.

I love your trip report its wonderful!! Awww how sweet of Bill to send you those he gets TWO Thumbs up!! I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!

Hello jen, thank you very much for reading.

Awww what a sweetie, they're beautiful :goodvibes

Hi Jo!! Thank you.

They didn't need the jaws of life, I wish someone had earplugs, I still here "Imagination, Imagination" :lmao: .

Barbie said it was policy that if someone in an wheelchair is on a ride that needs to be evacated they have to call RCFD.

I am glad you liked the pictures, feel free to use them here, I will be using them on Enchanted too.:thumbsup2

We took a monorail to the TT&C then to Magic Kingdom, we received our bracelets at the turnstiles.

We wanted to go to Tomorrowland, but before we got there we stopped for a photopass picture:

image308.jpg

This picture cracks me up. What is up with the look on my face and the strangers in the picture have parts of them that are faded out or invisible?? Maybe I was scared of them?

Time for Tomorrowland, Bill wanted to get some of the Christmas Party Pins.

023.jpg

Then we made our way back toward the Castle:

Mickey and Minnie topiaries:

Here are some photopass pictures:

image313.jpg

It was time to find a spot for:

WDW11-08331.jpg

WDW11-08333.jpg

We found a spot right in front of the Castle, everyone was sitting down, then one women came up with her adult daughter. She sat down for a little bit then got up about 3 minute before the show was about to start. A man asked her to sit down, she went off on him screaming saying she had been there an hour and she would stand if she wanted to
crazy.gif
. She was lying, ranting and raving at the man. I was never so happy when the music started and she finally shut up.

Here are some pictures from the show. I seemed to take pictures of Mickey with his eyes closed like I did with Amy on the last trip (just like the photopass photographer did to Bill that you will see later):

WDW11-08335.jpg

WDW11-08336.jpg

Look!!! Eyes open:

WDW11-08347.jpg

We got through most of the show, Bill said his foot hurt and asked me to take off his right shoe. About that time I felt a couple rain drops so I got out the RAIN PONCHOS!!! Yes, I had them with us today, YAY me
bananamickey.gif
!!

Because as soon as I got them out of the bag, they announced that due to the weather they had to cancel the show. The characters went off the stage then BAM!!
sad029.gif
Instant hard rain, immediate pounding rain, people were running all over the place. I calmly put the poncho on Bill and then put mine on. We went to the Tomorrowland Noodle Station. By the time we got to the Tomorrowland bridge, there were puddles everywhere. We found a table then I went to get us cookies and hot chocolate. I did see that you could have gotten apple slices instead, but I went for the cookies (I know bad Tracy
no.gif
).

WDW11-08354.jpg

WDW11-08356.jpg

Not many people came prepared for the rain, many told us how smart we had been for being prepared. The rain slowed down after about 30 minutes and we used the Emporium trick to stay dry. (Emporium trick = going into the Emporium down by Casey’s Corner and walking all the way through it to stay out of the rain when you want to leave)

We went to City Hall with tons of other people to see if we could exchange for another night. We knew the party was going to happen again Sunday. Many guests were screaming and mean to the CM’s because they weren’t giving out refunds
argument.gif
. They need to read the tickets better and not be so crazy. We walked out toward the turnstiles and got this:

026.jpg

It stated on the back that our ticket was automatically turned into a one day one park pass. If we wanted to use it for the next party just show up that night and go to the Guest Relations booth. We took a bus back to Pop.

Next installment… Time to see some soap stars

Oh man! Did you go back on Sunday?

I love your photopass pics - you got some good ones, scary-ghost people or not...they are still good!!

:woohoo: Excited about your soap stars! :woohoo: Bring 'em on!!!

Sara

Wow! guests' tempers were flaring that night, weren't they?! We really must learn to play nice in the sandbox, folks! Glad you got your exchange due to Mother Nature's interference...

More gorgeous pix of the Iced Castle....This is new, yes? I don't remember this from our MVMCP in '05. It's perfect!

Kudos to you for remembering your ponchos :umbrella: And go easy on yourself about the cookies...you've been doing great, so a little treat didn't hurt!

I'm so excited for the upcoming post...I know how much you guys loved Super Soap!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Kathy

Glad you were able to get a ticket to go back since you got rained out. Don't people know that rain is a risk they take when vacationing? WDW can't control the weather. :sad2:

Glad it all worked out, but sorry you got rained on.

I really like the photopass pic with the green Season of Joy border. Sorry about the rain but we all know it does rain there, lol. We never go without packing the ponchos. I don't mind the rain at all if I'm dry.

The yelling lady, I just don't get. Life is too short to be so unhappy. I'm glad it didn't ruin your fun.

I think that castle pic with the ghost people is pretty cool. Kinda neat how that happened. I'm glad to hear you were able to change out your tickets for another night. Great photopass pics! :cool1:

Gorgeous pictures of the castle Tracy! :thumbsup2

Why do people have to be so difficult?? When we saw Spectro, we had our boys (with my friends' boys too) all sitting down in the front. But, one older girl stood up to their left, which was the way the parade was coming, and when we asked if she could sit, she refused and her parents got annoyed. :sad2:

That stinks about the rain. :( I hope you were able to go back another night.

Hey Tracy! I don't post very much, but I've enjoyed reading about your and Bill's Disney adventures:) I have to admit that I'm pretty sure I caused the rain that night -- I was at that party too and I've yet to go to a hard ticket event where it HASN'T rained!! I stuck it out though (after purchasing an $8 poncho!) and had a blast! Almost everyone left the park and the rain slowed up enough that they did the 2nd parade -- although Santa was holding an umbrella by the end:) Did you happen to see the shuttle launch? It went up right before the rain started (I was on Space Mountain and missed it entirely). One of the CM's at the SM gift shop said it was perfectly sillouted against the moon!

Sara, you know I am not going to tell you yet whether we made it back or not :rotfl:. Soap stars coming up tonight!

Hi Kathy! I really couldn't believe the attitude of people that night, it was very UnDisneylike!! The Ice Castle started in 2007 we were there for the first lighting that year. It is stunning in person.

Glad you were able to get a ticket to go back since you got rained out. Don't people know that rain is a risk they take when vacationing? WDW can't control the weather. :sad2:

It is nice that Disney gives guests a rain check. I was :sad2: too.

What beautiful flowers - lucky girl!

Another great update - thanks for sharing!

Thanks for post, I know I am a very lucky girl :thumbsup2.

Glad it all worked out, but sorry you got rained on.

Thanks.

That first day we were there is the one and only time I have ever forgotten the ponchos that will not happen again. We won't let anyone ruin our fun in WDW!!

Thank you, I just love your screen name, it makes me smile :) .

Thank you. I have no idea why they were like that. I also don't understand why if people see that everyone is sitting that they should sit too.

Read your last report and happy to find this one! Keep up the good work!:thumbsup2

Welcome Bethmsu!! I am so happy you found us, thank you for reading and replying.

okay...I'm in...sorry it took me awhile to find it

Sat. Nov. 15th, 2008

**This installment is probably going to be really boring for people that don’t care about Super Soap Weekend, just warning you in advance, the second day is better**

We were up at 6am, on a bus at 7am, and in line for rope drop by 7:15am. There was a ridiculously long line for fast passes. I turned around as we stood in line. Everyone on the left of this picture out through the bag check was in the fast pass line:

WDW11-08360.jpg

We gave up a long time ago thinking we would ever be able to get fast passes for this event. I had asked Guest Relations the day before about the fast pass situation. I was told to either stay all night or be there about 3-4am if we really wanted fast passes. I said “do you see Bill, do you really think we could stay out all night here?” They let guests stay out in the parking lot all night long. That is not possible for Bill to do that. I don’t think anyone should be able to do that, but that is my opinion.

We made our way in when they opened the park and Bill was the first one in line for the wheelchair section for the motorcades and interviews at the Sorcerer’s hat. Here is how the seats looked when we got there:

WDW11-08361.jpg

We got front row seats 1 and 2. I went to get us something at Starring Rolls:

WDW11-08362.jpg

Our friend Virginia from previous years got front row too so we talked to her for a bit, then it was time for the motorcades/interviews to start. First up was General Hospital:

This was our view with no zoom:

WDW11-08396.jpg

I will state their real names and then the character names in parenthesizes.

The actors were:

Laura Wright (Carly Jax):

WDW11-08367.jpg

Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Spencer):

WDW11-08389.jpg

Jason Cook (Matt Hunter):

jason.jpg

Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) and Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake):

WDW11-08372.jpg

Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassidine):

tyler.jpg

I had asked the CM’s how they would handle things when Bill and I had to leave to take care of personal issues at First Aid. Pamela and Danny were the greatest CM’s!! They were professional, courteous, and had things under control. Danny had lanyards made to hand out to the first couple of rows because they were going to have to tear down part of the wheelchair section for the regular parade later in the day. Bill and I were Mickey 1 and 2.

WDW11-08476.jpg

Here is the section after it filled up:

WDW11-08404.jpg

The next motorcade/interviews arrived and it was All My Children actors:

WDW11-08440.jpg

Eden Riegal (Bianca Montgomery):

WDW11-08423.jpg

Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake Martin):

WDW11-08427.jpg

Darnell Williams (Jesse Hubbard):

WDW11-08435.jpg

Bobbi Eakes (Krystal Martin):

WDW11-08438.jpg

Vincent Irizarry (Dr. David Hayward):

WDW11-08436.jpg

Next up Sherry Shepard from the View:

WDW11-08446.jpg

She was interviewing Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) :

WDW11-08453.jpg

Then her partner Tony from Dancing with the Stars came out:

WDW11-08468.jpg

(I don't know about the other ladies here, but I want to know what kind of wonder bra Susan has on??)

Sherry then interviewed Erika Slezak (Viki Davidson, One Life to Live):

WDW11-08479.jpg

We went to First Aid, then waited until the parade went through.

Continued… more soap stars

Sat. Nov. 15th, 2008 cont.

Time for One Life to Live (again no zoom):

WDW11-08528.jpg

Brandon Buddy (Cole Thornhart), Kristen Alderson (Starr Manning), Jason Tam (Markko Rivera), and Brittney Underwood (Langston Wilde):

WDW11-08519.jpg

Farah Fath (Gigi Morasco) and John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex Balsom):

WDW11-08507.jpg

They are a couple in real life as well as on the show. I don’t know if she was nervous or what but during this interview Farah clearly didn’t seem to want to be there.

She looked like this most of the time she sat there:

WDW11-08510.jpg

I swear if they ever do a Casey Anthony movie, she would be perfect for her. She smiled twice during the time they were there, everyone else was having fun.

I adore Kristen Alderson, she is so bubbly and sweet:

WDW11-08525.jpg

After they left it was more All My Children.

Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery):

WDW11-08535.jpg

Melissa Claire Egan (Annie Lavery):

WDW11-08547.jpg

Rebecca Budig (Greenlee Smythe):

WDW11-08537.jpg

Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane) OMG I love me some Aiden!!! I swear I will never get a good picture of him I am too busy drooling.

WDW11-08550.jpg

Alicia Minhew (Kendall Hart Slater):

WDW11-08548.jpg

Thorsten Kaye (Zach Slater) I love his accent, I do want to shave that beard off though:

WDW11-08557.jpg

This was a fun interview, they were really comfortable with one another, they joked, they laughed it was so much better than the last interview group.

After this there was a break between the interviews for the Block Party Bash Parade, we took this opportunity to head for First Aid. It was not easy getting there and back but we did it. We didn’t have too long until they were putting the wheelchair section back in order, there were some people trying to take seats that were not theirs, including trying to get ours. I flashed my handy dandy lanyard and the CM’s made the other people leave.

The last General Hospital group for the day came next. I am kicking myself because I didn’t take a group picture. Oh well here are the others I took.

Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) and Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli):

WDW11-08579.jpg

These two were just delightful, they joked, they laughed they acted like they were great friends, I could have listened to the two of them talk all night.

Jason Cook (Matt Hunter) again? and Julie Marie Berman (LuLu Spencer)

WDW11-08584.jpg

Now I know that Brandon Barash (Johnny Zacchara) was right next to Julie, but I don’t find a pic of him anywhere?? What was up with me?

After them was the last One Life to Live group of the day, but there is no group picture, I must have been getting lazy by this point.

Bree Williamson (Jessica Buchanan):

WDW11-08596.jpg

Susan Haskell (Marty Saybrooke):

WDW11-08599.jpg

Michael Easton (John McBain), this man has the most gorgeous blue eyes, not as beautiful as Bill’s but close):

WDW11-08591.jpg

And last but certainly not least, our favorite Kassie DePaiva (Blair Manning):

WDW11-08594.jpg

Now it was hard to get a good picture of her because she was being her silly funny self:

WDW11-08604.jpg

While the interviews go on there is a host on stage with the stars, then there is an interviewer in the crowd. The interviewer was right in front of us, directly in front of me so when she would ask questions the actors would look in our direction.

All of the sudden you see Kassie sit up straighter in her chair and lean toward the right, she smiled and waved at Bill, directly at Bill, then leaned toward her left and waved at me. I asked Bill if I was seeing things, if she was waving at someone else and no she was waving to us, she had recognized Bill, first Virginia the other night, now Kassie. We were shocked by it.

Next installment…The Colgate Total Street Jam

#11 Super Soap Weekend Day 1 concluded

After all the interviews there is a Grand Motorcade where most of the stars come down Hollywood Boulevard in convertibles and get introduced one last time on stage then they have a “Street Jam” where many of the stars perform. Bob Guiney (formerly from the Bachelor) and his band were there.

Here are some random pictures of when they were introduced on stage:

WDW11-08622.jpg

Again Farah Fath did not look like she wanted to be there:

WDW11-08619.jpg

Here is some bad video of the actors dancing, I loved how Laura Wright and Kelly Monaco had fun dancing and Susan Lucci was dancing with Mickey. She looked like she had more fun with him then with Tony:

After that was over it was time for the “Street Jam”, here are some random pictures of it:

Bobbi Eakes (Krystal from All My Children). She sang “Mercy” by Duffy and did a great job!:

WDW11-08636.jpg

Kristen Alderson (Starr Manning, One Life to Live). It was getting pretty chilly by this point, but she never showed she was cold in this dress. It got so windy at one point you could hear it though the microphone but she just kept singing and put her other hand up to block the wind:

WDW11-08643.jpg

Eddie Alderson ~ Kristen’s brother. He plays Matthew Buchanan on One Life to Life. He was in the VIP section watching:

WDW11-08644.jpg

Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, General Hospital). Now on GH he is a complete computer geek, so we didn’t know what to expect. He really sang well. The Bob Guiney Band made him sound even better, they did a great job all night.

WDW11-08652.jpg

Many more stars came out and sang, but I have went on and on about it enough. Bill and I are bummed out that this was the last year for it, we did have a great time though.

Next installment…Bill gets recognized more than once
