Thank you again everyone for the kind words and hugs. It really did help me to write about her. I wish she would have gotten to see Walt Disney World, she would have loved it.

Bill and I are going to WDW in Oct. for Ip-Dip II and Mid Dec. for our 5th Anniversary and my 40th Birthday. Not sure if there will be any reports or not, thank you for coming along on our adventures.

Aw...I did not realize your Mom had never been to Disney. That makes me sad. For you and for her.

When are you going in December? We will be there from Dec 16-20th! My friend Rachel (who uses a power chair), her Mom, and some extended family of theirs. Including a 4-year-old.

There is a conference for people with her disability. I can't even remember the name of the disability right now...it is a very rare genetic disorder. But she also has a spinal cord injury, too. Anyway...there may be "lots" of disabled people there that weekend for the conference.

I will be starting an official pre-trippie for that trip once this other pre-trippie gets sorta solid in some key details. The December trip is actually more solid, believe that or not!!


Well...Unfortunately for this group of people...Rachel is the oldest living person that we know of with her disease. She has gotten state of the art care, including a biological response modifier (can we say expensive) every week since they diagnosed her with few exceptions. It is like chemo, sorta, an infused med

So...there could be younger children. But Rachel walked until she had to have surgery in 2005 and had a spinal stroke during the surgery. So, most of the people there will be walking! But some may be in wheelchairs due to the need to save energy. The conference will be small, though. Very, very rare disease. I can't even remember the name of it! I need to figure that out before I try to write a pre-trippie for sure!

On our last night at WDW I mentioned meeting Mousekmaddi, her daughter, and her mom. Well tonight she graciously forwarded me the picture and gave me permission to post it .

It cracks me up that I look like a green blob leaning over like that. I need to learn to stand straight up, but LOOK no bulging eyes for me and OMG Bill's eyes are open!!! Her mom is a fantastic photographer don't you think!!! Look at Bill's tan .
