Great update! Sounds like we are going to have a good time at Teppan Edo! Like Kathy said, I'm a little worried about the kids with the hot surface - especially Alex, but I think we'll be OK.

That dog sounds soooo sweet! I wish Alex weren't scared to death of dogs - I think Zachary would love one... maybe some day!

Hi Tracy. Aren't those service dogs amazing? I have someone on my staff who has raised 35 Guide Dog puppies for the Blind and people have no idea how much work goes into raising these dogs (work for the people and the dogs). It's always hard to say goodbye to them as they spend almost a year in our office but they go on to better things. Well some of them do, over 50% of them fail for one reason or another before they get certified.

And I knew Bill would be too smart to fall for the Beverly. I have a great pic of my husband when I got him on that one.

Wada was our chef for the evening:

He said I was on vacation and it was up to him to take care of it. That was so nice, I was very touched.


That was sweet of him!

Ed & I loved Teppan Edo when we went without the kids; I would love to do it again, but I'm nervous that Billy might accidentally touch the hot table.




Max was a handsome black lab. He was very friendly, came right up to Bill and I, he just put his huge head in my lap. He weighed about 80lbs. When he laid down he put his head on Bill’s feet.... Then he came back by us, he seemed to go to sleep, that is until Bill started coughing, his head jerked up completely alert and just stared at Bill with compassionate eyes making sure he was ok.


Those dogs are so sensitive, more so than lots of two-legged creatures!


The beauty of the entire night was magical, the full moon, the music, the feeling like it was our own peace of Heaven, I just love that feeling.


Ahhhhh....Long, contented sigh!!!!!

I always love Bill in WDW hats!!! It is pretty plain in the Epcot rooms at First Aid, they do have some gorgeous pictures in the waiting room though.

We will definately be going back to Teppan Edo, it was great!

Max was a fantastic dog, I used to have a lab when I was little it makes me
want another one.

I yearn for that night at Epcot, it was wonderful!

Tracy, what a wonderful evening. I can picture that full moon over the water right now and it sounds like bliss. That dog sounds amazing - so sweet and sensitive!

Bless your co workers, it has to be heartbreaking to give those dogs up, but they are doing such a great service.

What a great night! I loved you picture of Epcot at sunset with the Eiffel tower in the background. And what a nice chef you got, making sure everything was just perfect for you and Bill. I think that's one of the reasons we just keep going back--it seems like the level of service is consistently above what you get in real life.

I'm glad you liked Pigeon Forge at Christmas! We haven't been at that time of year in a long time, but my SIL and BIL keep their camper down there from spring to fall and go ALL the time. We have been going for a few days over the 4th of July for several years just to relax and do nothing but eat and swim. Our favorite places to eat are Applewood Farmhouse and Calhoun's. We are only two hours away so it's an easy quick trip.

And to DisMomAmy, I am with you on the child that is scared to death of dogs! DD7 has been terrified of them since birth, no reason I can see. I always say she would pet a tiger before she would a puppy! Her little BFF is also scared of all animals and her parents got her a teacup yorkshire terrier last week and both girls will actually hold it and pet it! It only weighs 1.5 pounds and will only be about 3.5 when it's grown. Maybe someone you know has a a tiny dog like this? They are supposed to be calm and good for kids if they're scared, since they're so little. Good luck!

Looks like a great day at Epcot. DH and I had lunch at Teppan Edo in Oct and enjoyed it. I love hibachi! Tricking people into trying Beverly is always fun and I got DH good on our Disneymoon!

I love the part about Max. That is so sweet that he cuddled up with you and got concerned when Bill was coughing. They are amazing animals.

The woman on my staff is a regional Guide Dog leader here and they take the dogs down to Disneyland for some training as it's a perfect location. I honestly have to say I never gave those dogs much thought before they started coming to our office 10 years ago but in that time, I've learned to have a great deal of respect for the dogs and the program. How lucky that you were able to get one of those dogs. I know with Guide Dogs for the Blind the people have to go through stringent applications to even be considered for adoption. I would not know what to do with a well trained dog; my two are total brats.

Bill's parents home there is just gorgeous, it is my second favorite place right behind WDW. We will have to try those restaurants. I am addicted to the Old Mill's fruit plate.

Oh you should try Teppan Edo, it was lovely. I loved the decor and the people there were so nice. No, I didn't get a pearl, I will someday, it is on my to do list.

I *think* we are going 12/10-12/14 we did these dates this year and they were a perfect time to go. We are just like you guys tho.. nothing is "set" I'm also thinking about doing the cruise again in December. So many decisions! I know I'm doing a week in Oct, but dates are all over the board right now.

Fri. Nov. 14th, 2008

We were up and at Disney Hollywood Studios at Rope Drop, can you believe it? I can hardly believe it and I was there!!

We immediately went to Toy Story Mania and got a Fast Pass, then headed to Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We had not been to this since my first trip in Feb. 2006.

We were the first people there:

We then went to see Indy again:

We were walking to TSM to use our FP’s and saw this:

Super Soap Weekend was starting tomorrow. We hoped Bill would get a good spot the next day so he could see. Bill remembered he wanted an Indiana Jones T shirt so we went to the shop that carries them:

We just decided to stroll around for a bit and just look, so that is what we did. It is amazing to see all the strings of lights for the Osborne lights:

We sat on a bench and started talking to another couple. They told us that it shouldn’t be long until Mulch, Sweat, and Shears arrived. Bill and I had never stopped to watch them before so we were making sure we were doing that this visit. The couple was very nice, I found out later it was Robin’s brother (delswife when she used to be on the DIS). She always talked about what a great guy he was and I have to agree, he was a great person.

Well look who showed up:

The “Manager” snuck up on me and sang right in my ear, I jumped and everyone laughed.

It was time to go to First Aid but we got stuck by the Block Party Bash? Or what ever the heck they call it. It seems to me that while the parade is stopped interacting with some guests others are just waiting around. I don’t like the set up.

We left on our way to 50’s Prime Time Café and ran into the parade yet again:

I checked in at the restaurant and found out that Bryon wasn’t working again . We loved Bryon in June and were hoping to get him again.

We both got Bread Pudding for dessert:

It was time to leave, we would be back early the next day. We had some place to be:
