Not usually. Does that still make it OK to be there if you aren't staying there, IMHO, no. But then again with the entitlement mentality that so many people have these days, I guess paying attention to rules has pretty much gone out the window, because while they might apply to the rest of the world, they don't apply to "everyone".

Make your argument with Disney. As Anne says, there are signs on The Polynesian beach which clearly state that they are exclusively for Polynesian Resort guests. I totally agree with this rule, without it the beaches would be swampped with people watching WISHES - leaving little space for those who have saved to take their vacation at the resort.pixiedust23 said:OK I kind of dont get this. You cant walk around different resorts now? If someone wants to get a better idea of the hotel and walk aroudn and use the pool bar and not make use of lounge chairs then how are they breaking the rules? Geez next thing you know youre not going to be allowed out of your resort room!!!![]()
And I have to ask people what is up with the snotty attitude? You can say what you mean w/o being a jerk! These boards are so people can get their questions answered and not get yelled at!
You should be able to view WISHES from 'Ohana itself.aubriee said:Excuse me, but what I did ask was if it was frowned upon. I didn't know. If it is, then we won't be there. I have never had an 'entitlement mentality'. I don't figure we will get through dining at 'OHannas in time to make it back to MK and was just wondering if we would be able to view Wishes somewhere else. I assure you I have no probelm following the rules, and in fact get irritated when others don't.

While it is true that there is a sign on the Poly beach, I can't imagine that if your cocktail hour is at fireworks times, that you would have to leave the area. I have stayed Poly LVC >15 times and have never seen the beach so crowded that I could not enjoy the fireworks. Naturally, on holidays and at peak times the beach would be best left to the guests of the Poly if it is jammed with people so use your best judgement. I hope you have a wonderful trip and you can always check with a CM at the resort to explore the policy. Perhaps I will tour your resort and stand and watch some entertainment some time. Threehearts

Sammie said:Can you explain your question? I have no idea what you are talking about to even comment.
pixiedust23 said:DVC members are permitted to pool-hop to all pools, excluding SAB and the pool at AKL, during non peak times of the year. Are they also granted use of the beach at the Poly? I would assume so, but I'm not positive.
Sammie said:It is not listed as a perk as being a DVC member.

If you have been to The Polynesian you will see that the resorts beaches are very spread out and I do not believe they are classed as being "part of the pool area".pixiedust23 said:But isnt the beach considered part of the pool area? I think I'll call for an official decision by Disney when I get a chance. If not I guess I could always stand on the pool patio and view, so as to not upset anyone.![]()
