Where do you take your kids for pictures?

I take my kids to Kiddie Kandids. They closed at the first of the year in bankrupcty but I was estatic to get an email that they have reopened some locations locally! I had gone to the same location with the same people since my first child was born. Very important when you have an autistic child who doesn't handle new people/situations well. So I am happy I can go back for his birthday pics next month.
Ooo, do you still have that e-mail? Did it list all the locations that are re-opening? We took DD to Sears when she was 3 months old and only got 1 good shot, and it took forever because they only had 2 people working. At 6 months we tried Kiddie Kandids and loved them, got several great shots so we went back for our Christmas cards. Then they closed! For her 1-year-old pics last month we went back to Sears and we got some good shots, but I liked Kiddie Kandids backgrounds so much better. (These are the only 2 places we had anywhere near us, unfortunately.) I'd be so happy if our Kiddie Kandids was re-opening!

we always use JcPenny! they do such a great job every time we go! i would show you some samples (we always get smiles by wire so we can post them on facebook) but dont know how to add pics here yet.

Your pictures turned out great! I've been using Target for awhile now and they've done pretty well with my kids, but there's a Portrait Innovations nearby that I think I will try out this summer. My friend said she got some good shots there of her 4-generation picture session.

Wonderful photos from your Target. :)

We've done Target before and it was not my favorite experience.

Have done Portrait Innovations several times and will always go back here. I like the first appointment of the day on the weekend. I work during the week. This way, I'm not waiting and the munchkin is not getting cranky, while those with 2 or more kids or familyreunion types with 2-3 changes of clothes eat up my valuable time. I'm not knocking group or family photos by any means. I just like the first appontment of the day so I can get in and we can get out in a very short time frame.

I always seem to buy enough photos to get the CD. Target wanted me to pay an extra $100 for the CD. I get to see all the photos taken from PI -- Target chose to show me the photos they wanted me to see, did not let me see all the photos. I asked for a 5 x 7 of every photo shown to me by Target. Was assured that's what I ordered. A few weeks later, got an e-mail from Target asking if I needed any extra photos and lo and behold -- there were 2 poses that I did not receive in my packet -- so obviously, I did not get a 5 x 7 of all the photos.

Glad others have great Target experiences to share. Me -- been there, done that, not going back (to Target).

When DS was little (he's 14 now) we had great luck with Sears, but that was because we found a great photographer. She was a friend of DS's babysitter and actually recognized him when we came in the first time. After that we asked for her each time and always got nice pictures. So, if you can find a good photographer I think that is more important than anything else.

I take my own photos. I do not have a expensive camera infact its old. I find its easy to upload photos and print them at home. I have taken some wonderful pictures without really trying. Be creative and they will come out great.

Likewise, I am fortunate to have a 30 acre "backyard" I love to let my daughter go out there, and I get some nice shots, especially when the seasons are changing.
