the night before the cruise? We're flying down the night before and the Hyatt is just too expensive. I booked a room a the Radisson Plaza Orlando...am I too far away from the airport, anyone ever stay here? I love to hear everyone's input or suggestions!!

(I've posted this before on one of the other boards, but didn't get any feedback.)

Thanks!

Before our 7 night we stayed at the Dolphin and enjoyed dinner at Polynesian. This cruise we tried priceline and are staying at the Airport Marriott. There are several Radissons in Orlando so I am not sure which one you are talking about? Do you know the address?

We stayed at the Radisson near the port last month. Our room (3rd floor) faced the port. Iwatched the Magic come up the channel at 5:15am the Saturday morning we departed. That's a memory that will last me a lifetime!!!

We always stay at the Hyatt. Yes, it is more expensive, but it's very convenient. With just two of us travelling, we take the DCL transfers, for which we can check in right in the lobby of the Hyatt.

We usually pay $99, but have payed as little as $79 and once as much as $129. Still, the advantage of not having to hassle with a hotel shuttle after arriving, or on the morning if the cruise is worth it to me. The extra money is really just a small percentage of the total vacation bill.

Voorhees, NJ? Give my regards to Ken Hitchcock.

I strongly recommend using Priceline for your night before reservations. We typically pay only $25 to $28 and almost always get the MCO Marriott (be sure to bid the higest star level and specify an MCO-area hotel). We use Happy Limo, but if you use Disney transfers, you can take their shuttle back to the airport in the morning.

I agree with LD--staying at the MCO Hyatt is worth the price for the convenience. Why squabble over $50 when you're spending $3,000 or more for the vacation already. You just have to think of it as being part of the total package.

We just stayed at the Hyatt for $99 8/15/03. I had Disney arrange it.

We were treated like royalty.... It was worth the few extra $$$.

Thank you all so much for your responses :D .

Andy- I've heard a lot of bad/good stuff about the Radisson at the port...what are your feelings on the hotel...were you happy with the room?

Barb- Are you happy with the MCO Marriott? I was thinking about getting a limo to surprise my family and take us to the port, how are the prices with Happy Limo?

Thanks!

We were in room 233 (3rd floor) at the Radisson, the room was very nice and very clean. It was a 2 Bed King Suite and had a very nice view of the port. I got to see the Magic come up the port channel early Saturday morning at 5:15.

We had no problems at the Radisson what so ever!!!

Lat year I booked two days prior to our sailing at WDW. Thursday and Friday. I booked directly thru DCL. My airfare was about 100.00 less expensive to fly Thurs. and return on a Saturday. 100x4 was 400.00. POR was 760.00 for two nights including park hoppers. 45.00 per person per day is what it broke down to. So we did it again this year!!!

We just got back from the 4 night Wonder and we stayed at the Raddisson at the port the night before. We were in room 222 and we could see the ships from our window. We absolutely loved the Raddisson and will definetly stay there again when we cruise!! We had the 2 king beds. I've got pictures of the room and some of the pool if anyone is interested.

We've had very good experiences at the MCO Marriott. The only bad experience was once we had to take a smoking room because there were no non-smoking rooms left. But that only happened once out of countless trips, and the room didn't smell, even to someone as allergic as me. Other than that, things have been great! Their shuttle is always prompt and the rooms are clean and quiet. With Priceline, you will often get a connector, but we've never heard noise from next door.
If you have more than two people in your party, a town car is typically cheaper than DCL transfers (and nicer too!). When we sailed with my friends last trip, we got a limo and it was awesome! There was cold soda, a DVD player, etc. It was very pampering :D
