Where are the places in disney that you enjoy shopping? After reading some of the snack threads, I began to realize how many things I had missed. I didn't know there were citrus swirls! I'm sure there are shops that I have missed, so I thought I would see what everyone here likes. :)

Do you mean just on sight?

We love to go to the outlets. The old Belz outlets at the end of I-Drive although I don't know the status of those.

We love the Premium Outlets right across from Disney. COACH OUTLET, YAY!

ON SIGHT, World of Disney of course, MouseGears at Epcot. I love the art shop at Downtown Disney. I love the Mainstreet Jewelers on Main Street. Heck I probably go in all of the shops, lol!

Cirtus Swirls....much better than Dole Whips :)

I recently found out there is a Strawberry Swirl at the Enchanted Grove in FantasyLand. I shall compare and contrast in 3 weeks.

I like Sir Mickey's and the Tinkerbell shop for gifts.

The Villans Shop in MGM

And Madame Leota's. It should be expanded.:scared1:

I love the Art of Disney in Epcot, the Twinings store in the WS, and never miss the Emporium in AK.

My favorite store is World Traveler. It is located at the International Gateway, and it is the best plave to get WS souveniers. It's not large, and it is always crowded at closing, but it is my favorite.

Its not a trip to WDW without going to the Emporium in MK. We always get our first souvie of the trip there, and our last too..
World of Disney is a must and the $10 and under store in DTD. The christmas store in MK and DTD too..

These are great! :goodvibes I enjoy looking through the shops, but I know there are ones that I have either missed or just haven't taken the time to go through.

I am looking for shops onsite because once we are in disney, we don't leave! :wizard:

Conan--I'm definately going to try a citrus swirl in October! :cool1:

There are so many good stores in Disney. I love Emporium in MK and the shops at Contemporary are good too. Also DTD marketplace has alot of good shopping, World of Disney is one of the best.

The department store in the Japan World Showcase in EPCOT. :thumbsup2

I LOVE that shop! I bought a lot of my Christmas gifts from there last year. Their sake and tea sets make GREAT gifts because they are reasonably priced and are beautiful to boot.

I agree with all of these...my parents can spend an hour (literally - don't ask) in the Art of Disney shops...in DTD, Epcot, and especially MGM (thank goodness there's a restroom right there, I look at everything and they still manage to look for another hour!). Those tend to be my favorites.

I love Basin and Arribas Bros (although I don't like the new setup in there), and Jamba Juice at DLR (we don't have it anywhere near here!) as my favorite Non-Disney Disney stores (ha, does that make sense?).

We love Once Upon a Toy, The Christmas Shop, The World Of Disney Store at DTD. Love the department store in Japan, the shop in Norway and the shops in both Germany and the UK. Love Mousegears, The Emporium, and Muppet Store.

I need to go back to the store by Splash Mountain because that was the only place I saw the Disney World game I wanted to bring home, I never got back there in March, glad we're going again in October.

I'm curious which game you mean. I saw a few games I really wanted at the same store, but I couldn't afford $40 apiece. I ended up buying several Disney and WDW-themed games at Toys R Us for $15 or less! I couldn't believe it. For some reason I'm gonna guess that you might mean "The Magic Kingdom" Game. That one was $15. I bought Disney Guess Who for $10 and my sister bought Haunted Mansion clue for $17 (I already had it). Last I knew, they didn't have Splash Mountain Clue (is it Clue? I can't remember) or Pirates Life, but I'll have to check.

Either way, check out Toys R Us first, you might be surprised!

I don't know about HM and SM, but you can get the Pirates Monopoly and Life at Target for MUCH cheaper. The Life doesn't come in a tin, but if you don't mind that, it's about half the price. :goodvibes

I know the price at Target is much better, but the game is totally different--the tin isn't the only difference. If you're just wanting the game at a cheap price go for it, but he one at WDW is the original and, IMHO, the better of the two. The one is stores is actually the version for POTC: Dead Man's Chest, while the one at disney world is the original. Either way--ENJOY! :sunny:

The shop at the exit to POTC is nice and has great scenery. The Christmas shop in MK is good too. The Contemporary shops might be my favorites, strangely enough. Tinkerbell's shop is really cool, you can watch Tink fly around the store and watch her through a keyhole in a cool prop.
I'm not into the large shops that much. They are nice, but in my opinion, nothing beats small "hidden" shops.

:thumbsup2 Just thought I'd bring it up in the event she didn't want to pay the $50 for the game. :goodvibes

I have a fabulous one-of-a-kind pitcher from Wales I bought in the UK Epcot shop about a decade ago. Maybe more. It has a lady with flowing hair and the family calls it my Lady Godiva pitcher. It was about $120 by early 90's prices and I didn't buy the matching Lion platter, which I've always regretted. Unfortunately, a lot of the crafts/artisans items, at least in the UK shop have been replaced by cheap, touristy stuff.

We go to the toy store in DTD to get discontinued/hard to find beanies...I got my Haunted Mansion Mickey and Minnies there.

I love all the Art of Disney stores...just wish I could afford some of their fabulous stuff!

I also love Keystone Clothiers at MGM. I heard it's been remodeled though so don't know what it's like now, but I always found the best sweatshirts there. Usually ones I didn't see anywhere else.

LOVE the home/kitchen store at DTD...miss the old version of the store, but the new one is good too.

Two of my other favorites are at the resorts. The big souvie store at the Contemporary and the gift shop on the 2nd floor of the Grand Floridian. I really like alot of the resort shops, they often have different things you don't see through out all the parks.
