I usually order online from Walmart.com and pick them up in the store (either a few days later for huge orders or one hour for small orders.) But this last batch I am really disappointed. The colors are just not right and I had ordered 350+ photos from our Disney trip. I don't know if it is just because I had such a large order or if the send out processing has just gone downhill. I still have tons of pictures to order from Jan-July 2006 so I need an affordable place! So tell me where you order from and why! :thumbsup2

I usually order from Snapfish and pick up my pics from Walgreens. I haven't been disappointed yet. If I'm feeling really patient or if there's a special like free shipping, I have them sent from Snapfish or Shutterfly.

We print them out ourselves. That way, all the cropping, lighting, sizing, etc. is up to me (well, actually DH does it for me) & I can print out whatever I need.

I've ordered from Walmart and wasn't happy with the color either. They were too dark. I just ordered our Disneyland photos from yorkphoto.com and was very pleased. I ordered about 500 pics and it was around $70 including shipping. I've also ordered from snapfish.com and they were ok as well.

I use Shutterfly. Any time I've had a problem, their customer service is awesome! I love the pictures. Usually and bad shots are because I took a bad one and decided to print it! :thumbsup2 I just printed 400 4 x 6, 1 8 x10, 3 wallets, 1 5 x 7 and it came to $30. Not bad -but most of it was shipping - I just wish I had gotten free shipping. I prepaid for the 4 x 6 s so they were $.12.

We order from www.clarkcolor.com It was recommended on another scrapping site (and they had a free print offer- most of the online places do, for your first order- so we ordered 10 prints from just about every store online I think!) and we were happy with their service and the prints. If you buy in bulk it's 9 cents a print.

I use Snapfish and they are excellent for quality and speed. I've also bought some of the picture mugs and the coasters and they too came out really well.

I always use WINKFLASH ($0.99 S&H). I used to print mine out myself but I would only get 100 good photos at like $80.00 so it wasn't worth it for me. So I put my machine away. I do use it if I only need 1-10 photos. But to come home from a disney vacation or any vacation for that matter and try to print 1000 it just wasn't worth the money. SO I always use WINKFLASH. I've have trouble with AOL phhotos. My mom got 200 photos developed and only 15 were clear the rest were blurry. I got the same ones done with winkflash and everyone came out super clear.
Hope I helped.

I use Costco...The one hour. I upload them at home, select size, crop, change colors, add text and/or boarders and have the option to have them mailed to my home or pick them up at the store (I've always just gone in and picked them up...but having the mailing option is nice)..anyhow they do wonderful quality prints at a great price...I think it's 0.17 for a standard 4x6 size and only 0.99 for an 8x10.

I've also tryed Snapfish...and the quality there was excelent also.

I've been using Walgreens. The quality of the prints has been excellent with good color reproduction.

An afterthought - one thing I like about snapfish is that you sometimes get a message saying that the picture might not come out as good as you want, especially if you're trying to enlarge it. The one time I ignored the message, the picture on the 5X7 wasn't great (too pixelated) but the 4x6 was fine.

On this last trip to the World, I used Yahoo and had the pictures printed at Target. I probably printed about 600 pictures. Anytime you send the pictures, you get a coupon you can use at pickup, but I don't remember how much I spent in total. I was thrilled with the quality. And every batch was ready in about an hour (trick, if you send smaller batches, you get free one-hour processing). The only hang-up we had was when Yahoo went down for a day and it took about a day and a half to get two of my batches to Target.

Thanks ladies! Unfortunately I don't have a Walgreens close enough and I don't belong to Costco. I did try Shutterfly, Snapfish and CVS this week. So far I think I like Shutterfly the best but haven't received my Snapfish order yet. I also tried Walmart again but with a smaller order this time to see if maybe the larger orders are what they mess up.

Snapfish and ClarkColor use the same applet to upload to their sites, and so far, their quality has been equal, so maybe they have the same backend too? (not sure). However, ClarkColor gets to my house faster, as they are East coast based, and Snapfish is West coast based.

Shutterfly seems to sharpen the photos, which is great when there's not folks in the photos, but makes us who are 40+ look a little well, angular and lined. :scared:

So, I use all three, depending on what my needs are and what their specials are. :thumbsup2

Reasons I like Snapfish: Low cost prints, Low shipping rates, quick delivery, decent photos.

I've been using Snapfish, both for traditional and now digital prints. They have always been fast and I'm usually pleased with the prints. I say usually because I was more impressed with the 99 prints I ordered from Ritz Camera for sharing. But, I paid almost $30 for 99 prints compared to what I've spent for a lot more through Snapfish.

I ordered over 300 prints using a coupon code for 9 cents a print. The total with shipping was less than $50. I placed my order on a Sat. and had all the prints (307 of them) by Wed. On the last day of the sale I ordered another 30 prints at 9 cents a piece plus an 8x10 and 4 wallets (free offer from the previous purchase) and I think because of the volume of business the order took longer to process. My order was placed on Sun. and didn't ship until Fri. I only received them Monday or Tuesday. Last night I ordered 18 more prints at the standard 12 cents and those were shipped today.

Well, I use Kodakgallery.com (formerly ofoto)... I pay 10 cents a print but I also pay $50 a year for them to store my photos. Our computer crashed last October and while I had all my photos on a back up disk I really felt uneasy about it. So I pay $50 for them to keep my photos. I know they would keep them indefinitely if you order prints from them once a year but I wanted the extra insurance. Anyways, if you pay the $50 your pictures are automatically 10 cent a print. I like their quality. I've used Costco but I don't like their hit or miss quality I get with my prints. I've also use clarkphotos and they were good except their uploading process is very slow for me.
