How much of a serious runner are you? If you get up early you could pretty easily job around Shelter Cove...there's a path that follows the water around to a point and back again. This might be a mile total. If you are a super athlete who is training for a marathon or something, your best bet is to cross to the other side of Hwy. 278 (use the tunnel) and pick up the leisure trail. It's an extra large biking/roller blading/running/walking path, separate from the main road, that runs most of the length of HHI. Either direction you choose you can end up at a place that sells ice cream.....thereby giving you the strength you need to jog home. Be aware that you'll be jogging in full sun if you go during the main part of the day. Third option: jog up and down the beach at low tide. Have fun!
