Where do you get rings to bind with like...

They're called loose-leaf or binder rings. Staples sells them.

I bought some at the local hardware store back where they make the keys. They have all sizes too.

I wouldn't count on being able to paint them and having it stick, but you could knot ribbons on it. Just be careful....don't buy the cheap kind. If they pop open unexpectedly it can really mess things up!................P
