Where do UGLY PEOPLE come from?

this thread is craking me up!

Shhhhhhh come closer I have a secret!

The guy who sits in the next office to me is seriously UGLY! He is a amateur photographer and has pictures of his wife all over the office. I will just call her Plain Jane. Also his walls are covered in 100's of other pics he had taken.

They had a baby boy in December ....and no one seen any pics of the baby. He kept on 'forgeting" them or they werent developed yet...many excuses. Finally last week he brought in pics of the boy.

I am soooooooooooooo serious when I say...this baby is the MOST BEAUTIFUL kid I ever seen in my life! omg!!! This baby is flawlesses Beautiful! Makes the Gerber baby look like Barney Fife!

Thats funny because I worked with a woman who had the same scenario going in her family. She and her husband were not attractive people. Nice poeple they were, but beauty queens they were not. They had the most gorgeous child you have ever seen. Lots of people in my office said she'd outgrow her beauty, she didn't have a chance with that mother and father. But I just saw the girl last year, she is now 13, and she is still gorgeous. Mom and Dad are still homely, and she looks like a teen model. Go figure. Must have been some recessive gene coming into play.

And on the subject of ugly babies, I have known some that were so ugly (or funny looking is probably a better word) that they are cute! I mean, come on, who can resist a little Winston Churchill baby? I love all babies though, I mean I seriously melt in the company of a baby - I'm one who just can't wait to get my hands on them and hold them and rock them, etc., so it may just be my penchant for babies that I think they are all cute - even the ugly ones.

I've also known very beautiful people who have become less attractive once I've gotten to know them. On the flip side, I've known ugly people who have become very beautiful and attractive to me because of their personality.

Wow, this is exactly my experience.

Another thought, when people talk about a sad story where someone was hurt or worse, they say, "it's such a shame, he was such a cute boy" or "she was a beautiful woman". I'm sure they don't mean that if they weren't cute or pretty that it wouldn't be a shame but it sort of sounds like that. I catch myself doing it too.

I don't think that most newborn babies are cute, but by the time they get to be a few months old and have filled out a bit, I think most babies are adorable. All toddlers are cute, I have never seen one that isn't.

My son was not a cute baby OK--There I said it

Within 6 months he grew into his features and he never looked back. I can proudly say he is one cute little bugger (Or else maybe I just adapted )

i've only known 1 baby I didn't think was cute. It was my moms best friends baby and she was born with long saggy bull dog cheecks. She's almost 18 now and she still has them they're just not as bad

that's for sure.... one of the soap opera's I watch had a really ugly baby on for a while!!! Luckily those kids grow up quickly.... one month and they're in Kindergarten!!!

Ah ugly babies... well the only way to really know is if that baby has siblings... When my brother was born I said" Are all babies so ugly?" (loving sister I was 6) Then went on to explain that by ugly I mean red and wrinkly. We still tease my brother*who is a cutie now- about what an "ugly" baby he was. His daughter was a beauty when she was born thankfully!

I grew up around a bunch of midwives and doulas. The agreed term for a less than attractive baby is "sweet" as in "oh what a sweet baby!" Thankfully mine were all gorgeous.

Does having a big head qualify as ugly? Then I was an ugly baby. Now I'm a 5'2" petite woman with a normal size head.

The good thing is babies can grow out of the uglies but an ugly adult that another story. All they can do is be beautiful on the inside and wear make-up like I do. There's even make-up for men too. Plastic surgery, I don't want to go there.
