Where do UGLY PEOPLE come from?

Well....all I know is when I was born, I was born with a full head of jet black hair and I was not a wrinkled red, not me....I was yellowish-tan (but not jaundiced). The first words out of my paternal grandmother's mouth was "She looks like a little indian papoose". I don't think grandma thought I was a beautiful baby.

My birth mother was not too happy about that comment and yes, we do have native american blood in us (but actually we are all pale skinned irish folk). A few months later, I still had dark hair, but pale milky white skin and cute as a button.;)

My son used to worry because our daughter was a beautiful toddler. He's say,"I hope that she turns ugly soon because pretty little kids grow up to be ugly!" Of course,I pointed out that he was always great looking. BTW,DD is 13 and beautiful!!
On another note, my SIL was in the hospital after having had her 1st DD,who looked like her dad. SIL's grandmother walked in,took a look at the baby and said,"Don't worry honey, her looks will change." We laugh about it now but OMG can you imagine!?

I used to think the same thing, are people lying or do babies become less attractive as they age? And I can honestly say that people lie :guilty: This is true when it comes to other friends/family members babies (you can't be honest and say the baby is NOT beautiful). Strangers however, if strangers say your baby is cute then I think you can rest assured he/she is because a stranger has no reason to comment at all  I know I've never called a stranger's baby cute when it wasn't:rolleyes1

LOL!!! This reminds me of what my mom does. My mom doesn't like to lie. But usually when someone shows you thier baby they are waiting for you to compliment them. So if a baby is beautiful she says "Oh your baby is beautiful, God Bless Them" But when the baby is ugly she says "Wow, your baby is Big, God Bless Them". So often times my siblings and I have to hold in a laugh when she says that because we know it is her AKA that baby is ugly.

Funny story: Her friend was pregnant. And she knew my mother's little MO on babies. Well she called my mom to tell her she had given birth and said "Iris he is Big, but I am sure he will get cute later!" LOL

This one must be one of that 2% then. :rotfl:

Don't you need my permission before you put pictures of my baby on here? ;)

Well my nephew would calssify as an ugly baby. He's adorable now and will likely mature into a handsome young man, but as a newborn he looked like friggin COOKIE MONSTER. He had this massive planetoid of a head and these huge Googly eyes like a muppet. Oh God it was hysterical.

There ia a little rhyme...
Ugly in the cradle
Pretty at the table

Also when I worked L&D there was one nurse who would say "that's one FLK"
meaning funny looking kid

Where do UGLY PEOPLE come from?

I know where they come from, here I am!
I want to know where we're supposed to go???

I want to be with my own people!

And don't tell me WalMart, I've misplaced my sunglasses & I'm clean out of tranquilizers!

Everyone lies about the babies. All babies look like Winston Churchill. Baldish, big jowls, receding chin. At least most of them don't smoke cigars.

Funny how everyone thinks their babies were ugly then and beautiful now or beautiful then and beautiful now. No one has said they have an ugly child now. Just goes to show you that beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I know there are lots of ugly kids around.

I pulled out some pics of DNephew last night because of this thread and he was one ugly baby at first. He was like 3 1/2 mos premature, so his head was HUGE and he had giant eyes, while the rest of his body was very scrawny and had little tubes and wires and things stuck all over him. He was also bald, which didn't help at all.

Fortunately, as he's gotten older, grown in hair and gotten chubbier, he's gotten cuter.

Except when he's torturing "Jewish", their dog (whose real name is Cooper). :rotfl:

Not at my house,I guess I must be one of the lucky ones.
My children are all gorgeous!:rotfl:

One fine day I will learn how to post pics!!!!!

My second son was the ugliest baby you've ever seen!!! He wasn't even named for about 5 or 6 days cuz we all had a hard time stopping our laughter everytime we looked at him!!! I remember walking down the halls in the maternity ward, pushing him in those little clear, see-through bassinets and just speeding by anybody I had to pass!!! He only weighed 5lbs11ozs at birth but the docs said he had been losing weight rapidly before he was born.....so..he had these buggy eyes, and loose skin just hanging from him!!! The worst part were the HUGE bags under his eyes!!!

When it was time to take him home, my Mom showed up with a gorgeous yellow velour 'Peter Rabbit' set for preemies (because he was so small), we dressed him in it, stood back and looked at him lying on the bed and both said..."Nope...didn't help"!!! Bahahahahaa!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Anyhoo...Jesse is a GORGEOUS 18 year old young man who literally has to BEAT the woman away!!!!

Hopefully I can get up his before and after pics up!!! You'll die laughing at his newborn pic!!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
