Where do Florida residents stay

ok, i'm copying you. should i go with hot-wire secret (what is that) or go to
travelocity? can i ask for 3 star only or higher?

There's Hotwire and there's the top secret option on the Travelocity website that works like Hotwire. For Hotwire you do have the option of using betterbidding.com to see the hotel lists by area, star rating and amenities,it however is not always clear, sometimes two hotels in the same area have the same exact amenities and stars and you know one is better than the other.Like I said if you're flexible and you're fine knowing there are no refunds or changes and it's possible you could be unhappy with what you get.All the hotels have star ratings by them so you will get whatever hotel rating in whatever area you choose.I've gotten 4 star hotels that go for $200 a night for $55 during slow periods and I've also gotten 2.5 star hotels that go for $65 a night on sites like hotels.com for $58 on Hotwire on peak period weekends. One thing to note is that over the last year or so I haven't used Hotwire as much as their prices has increased along with amount of hotels available.

We are 45 minutes away. The answer to your question is......anything Disney. Seriously, I have no complaints about any of the Disney owned hotels. We have booked All Stars on great FL resident discounts and paid rack rate for club level. We are checking in to Art of Animation Sunday and staying thru Wednesday. For us it depends on who is going (all of the kids, younger kids, only me and dh,) what the current deals are, if we are going for a special occasion, etc. I do prefer to go on week days during the slow season though. Hubby and I were at Epcot tonight (had to get new passes for kids since our next stay is booked with passholder dining). The park was practically empty! We ate dinner, then walked right thru the Soarin queue, rode Living with the Land, walked over to the Boardwalk bakery......and made it home by 9 to put the kids to bed. My advice is to try all of the hotels, you know..... to see which ones you prefer ;)

Pop Century unless there was a killer deal offsite for FL residents (having my own car and not needing a rental sometimes made the latter a more economical option).

Usually ASMU or POR. Sometimes the Swolphin.

Have fun finding your favorites.

:)
