Where do celebrities stay

We saw Michael Eisner and party at the AK a month before it officially opened.

A couple years after that we saw Jamie Gertz and her kids at AK ... the give-away was the Disney tour guide. I spotted the guide and then looked to see who was with them. Jamie saw that I had recognized her, but I left them alone as it was obvious she was trying to enjoy the park with her family.

One year, many years ago, we saw Ivana Trump and her two kids (they were teens then) at Mouse Gears in Epcot. They were accompanied by a Disney guide and security ... at a discreet distance.

Don't know where they stayed; however, it was fun recognizing them.

From my experience, if you see a Disney guide and/or security you might want to look closely to see who they are with!

Quite a few celebs have stayed at the Poly

Along these lines - while checking in at the Poly one time the CM told me that the most expensive accommodation that they offered was a 3 bedroom/2 story 'townhouse' suite that included dedicated staff. The story was that Michael Landon suggested having a 'separate' structure during one of his family's visits to the World.

Anyone know if this is true?

It would explain why the Poly is popoular.

I would like to know....

How will anyone know when a celebrity is going to be at WDW & where they will be staying?

If you ask at the desk at the hotel will they actually tell you who is coming, who is there while you are or that they already left?

Will I have to take a guess if a celeb is around & just keep my eyes open which can get hard especially when the parks are crowded.

They will NEVER who is there, or may be coming or where they are staying. They may or may not confirm it if someone spots the celebrity. Can you imagine if they gave out that info?Celebrities would be MOBBED. Most cases people spot them at the resort in passing or at the themeparks. Disney would be in big trouble if they offered all that info up freely

The Governator at the Yacht Club,

Drew Carey (sans glasses) outside of Splash Mountain. He had a coterie of very pretty women flocking all around him :lmao:. I don't get it!

Once I forgot to take off my cowboy hat and sunglasses when I was inside on a ride and somebody asked me if I was famous:rotfl:.

Nope! Just too tired to take off my disguise, lol...

I have heard that Michael Jackson has(had) a suite at GF payed for an indefinate amount of time.

In 2003 I saw Sara Rue in AKL w/ guide and they were bringing luggage to room. She was Claude on Less Than Perfect with Sheri Shepherd and Andy Dick. She covered her face. I was just passing her and didn't recognize her until she tried to cover face.

Erik Estrada at the Beach Club...there's no way anybody can beat Ponch, one of the top 3 highlights of my life...behind the birth of one of my children and the Giants winning the Super Bowl :wish200 :wishsize20

Not in a hotel but I did see Hugh Heffner(sp?)with a flock of women coming out of the Haunted Mansion at WDW a few years ago.

I rode up the elevator at the GF after the Christmas Parade with Regis Philbin. Both he and Joy were staying there....

Never saw anyone at the parks though...although I just missed Kelly Ripa and Regis having dinner in Japan that same night after the Christmas Parade was taped.

I saw John Cleese dining at Boma a few years ago. Not sure if he was staying at AKL or not though.

Katie Holmes and daughter Seri? was reported to have spent the night in Cinderella's castle earlier this year. I am so jealous. I want to spend the night in the castle princess:

I asked on one of the backstage tours last year about celebrities staying in the castle once the year (or two) of a million dreams was over, and the tour guide (who was also one of the lucky castle suite conceirges) said that it would never be made available to paying guests, that they wanted to keep it for giveaways, make-a-wish type getaways, etc.

So I'm guessing unless Disney was footing the bill (which I doubt), that it was just that, a rumor.

Jon Bon Jovi playing with his kids in the pool at the GF!!! (maybe 8 years ago now)

I almost died!!

When we were at AKL in 2004, we passed Steve Harvey (and HUGE entourage) in the elevator several times. He'd be leaving when we'd be entering and vice versa.

I saw John Cleese dining at Boma a few years ago. Not sure if he was staying at AKL or not though.

Of all the ones on the list, *This* is the one that would have made me act like a dork, I grew up on Monty Python.

I've heard that Oprah stays at GF and Arnold told the CMs at YC he'd be back!:rotfl:

:)Yes, I have heard the same thing! I do know that Oprah did stay at the GF because she said so and I believe the Gov. and his wife (Maria Shriver) and family stayed in the Admiral's Quarters at the YC.

When we were at the MK one time there was a crowd following this very tall man around and my husband said it was a famous basketball player.

We saw Kelly Ripa at the Magic Kingdom and at Typhoon Lagoon a few trips ago. My understanding is that she stays at the GF.

I've heard that Steven Tyler of Aerosmith stays at the Boardwalk.

Last August, The Rock, AKA Dwayne Johnson stayed at Beach Club...;)
