Where do celebrities stay

We saw Jon Favreau at the Storytellers cafe breakfast when we were at Disneyland last July.
He directed Iron Man and was in Swingers with Vince Vaughn

Sean Hannity stayed at SSR one time and we had friends who were at AKL one time and Kelly Rippa and Mark Consuelos were there with their kids. She was filming the Christmas parade.

With my own eyes, I saw Diane Keaton at the Grand Californian at DL once. We were staying there too, she was there with her two kids. We also saw her in the parks.

Someone did a search one time of records and found a ton of celebrities own DVC. I know Dan Marino, John Bon Jovi and Jum Kelly all are owners and I know there are a bunch more. I do know Former President Carter owns at Old Key West.

I swear I could ride an elevator with, sit at the pool with dine at a restaurant seated at a table next to (etc) a celebity and never have a clue. I think there are very few I would recognize unless they had an entourage and still then probably wouldn't have a clue. OT funny story but to make my point how I don't recognize people. Last summer was at MK and there on an ecv in Liberty Square was this man. I thought egads that guy looks kind of like my Dad walked right past him and went along my way. I get home and call him to see how he is doing. Turns out he was at MK that day. Decided to take an impromptu trip with his girlfriend. I told him that I had to have seen him campared dates times etc sure enough it had to have been him. Kicker is he knew we we at WDW the same time but didn't get in touch. We could have had linch or something!

Hayden Panitieri (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) stayed at the Poly a few months ago I believe. One of the Disers has known her for quite awhile and was there with her. She posted pics of her on the Poly thread. She looks like the All-American girl.

My only hope if this was me would have been that I could have whipped out the cell phone and snapped a picture/or called my sister fast enough as I was passing out! LOVE Jon!!!

Not in a hotel but I did see Hugh Heffner(sp?)with a flock of women coming out of the Haunted Mansion at WDW a few years ago.

The heck with Hugh, the flock of women would have caught my eye.

Quite a few years ago (94?) we were doing the DVC tour on the mini bus going into OKW. As soon as you come past security booth there is a golf green on the right hand side. This was in Oct when the PGA tour is playing. Our DVC guide said...there is Tiger Woods, he is this new golfer on the tour who is some young hotshot !! At the time I knew who Tiger Woods was because I was a golf fan, but DW and kids had no idea. I think at the time he was a college golfer just getting started on pro tour......there certainly was no madhouse crowds following him like there would be today !!

I have never seen a celebrity at WDW.

And I think I know why....

There are at least a dozen celebrities mentioned in this thread that I have never heard of before!

Therefore I certainly won't recognize them WDW!

Anyone else like me?

This was a number of years ago, but my wife and I were walking into the Brown Derby and James Doohan (Scotty) walked in right after us. This was back when they were having famous people put their handprints in concrete in front of the Chinese theater.

Being big Star Trek fans, my wife turned to him and said "Do you know who you are?", and then realized what she said. We had a nice chat for a few minutes before security whisked him away. I never let her live that down.

We ran into him again later in the day and had another chat. He was a very amiable person, not at all what I would envision for a star.

A few years ago a special package was offered to see "Live With Regis and Kelly" and "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". Part of the package were rooms at AKL and tickets to the shows that were taped and live at WDW's MGM Studios. DW and I got the package and went to the shows. I believe this was Dec. of 2001. Crowds were very low because of 9/11. WWTBAM tapings featured sports celebrities from the Olympics: Mary Lou Retton, Oscar De La Hoya, Bruce Jenner, Mia Hamm and others that I can't remember. Our group had lunch with Kelly Ripa at the GF. She came around to everyone's table, talked to us and had a picture taken with us. She was very pleasant and cute.

On this trip, Regis and Kelly stayed at the GF. I think most of the celebrities stayed at AKL. We did see Bruce Jenner and Wayne Brady in the AKL lobby. Wayne was there for the Christmas show.

On another trip we saw Hulk Hogan at the GF. We were staying at the GF when Hogan was taping a TV series called "Thunder In Paradise".

Yeah I dont think I know who apart from Michael Jackson and no chance of seeing him in WDW

I asked on one of the backstage tours last year about celebrities staying in the castle once the year (or two) of a million dreams was over, and the tour guide (who was also one of the lucky castle suite conceirges) said that it would never be made available to paying guests, that they wanted to keep it for giveaways, make-a-wish type getaways, etc.

So I'm guessing unless Disney was footing the bill (which I doubt), that it was just that, a rumor.

No rumor Tom Cruise and family stayed in the castle. And please remember just because a CM gives the PR correct answer to a question does not mean it covers all possiblities. Just like if you ask can you bring your pets to a Disney resort, the answer will be No.

But Oprah stayed at the Grand Floridian with her dogs and the Saudi princess brought her goats.

This thread is interesting.

I am curious, has a famous person been spotted at any of the moderates or value resorts? I would think since it is less likely they would pick them over the deluxes that this could actually work in their favor b/c people wouldn't believe they were famous and just a look a like. Plus, you have those celebrities that like to break the mold and take the path less traveled.

I only say this b/c I was at a concert years ago and some of the performers were out on the lawn with the crowd, kind of blending in, but we spotted them.

Also, I have seen footage of John Mayer dressed in a costume and out in the parking lots of his own concerts.
