Where did you register?

We didn't and I'm not going to. We've been together for over 11 years and living together for last 6. I don't need household items at all. I've really done well with buying all our household appliances, glasses, dishes, linens etc. I need stemware but what I want I don't expect anyone else to buy me I'll most likely troll estate sales for the kind of crystal I want. Also we are getting married on Disney Cruise and live northeast so I think everyones gift to me is showing up for my wedding lol.

We are definitely doing the Disney Honeymoon registry and Williams Sonoma (for Star Wars stuff!!). I think we will also do Bed Bath & Beyond because they have the dishes I want at the best price (better than Macy's everyday price). Even though I HATE shopping at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and will feel bad subjecting my guests to that store.

Really? I LOVE the ones in NY with the Harmon Beauty stores inside. Maybe you need to find better locations! I gotta say, it's huge disappointment when you go to Bed Bath without the beauty store, once you'e experienced the former. It's like knowing SuperTargets exist, but you only have regular ones in your area. :(

We just did the basics:
Target
Bed, Bath, & Beyond
Macy's

We thought about doing the Disney Registry, but we didn't think our guests would understand how to use it.

We did not plan on registering at all because we're asking so much of our guests to attend the destination wedding on Castaway Cay. But family, friends and co-workers (both attending and not) keep asking where we registered.

Finally this past weekend, DF & I caved in, went to Bed Bath & Beyond and registered for china, cookware, and a few small kitchen appliances. We already share a condo, so we just registered for items we normally wouldn't buy ourselves.

I registered at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond...but I didn't put the registry on the shower invitations or anything because I'll be honest, I'm mostly hoping for cash at this point. My fiance just got laid off, so while a mini deep fryer would be effin' awesome, it's not super practical at this moment, lol.

But I made the registries mostly for fun and for the people that are clueless and ask :D

We registered at three as well:

1) Tiffany & Co.
2) Crate & Barrel
3) Changing the Present

Changing the Present is sooo cool and I really recommend it for anyone who wants to do a charity registry. You can scroll through hundreds of charities and choose "gifts". Some of the gifts that we chose include donating a pig or goat to a bonded girl in Nepal, uniting child soldiers with their families in the Congo, and feeding preschoolers in Palestine. Definitely something to check out!

We registered at bed Bath and Beyond for traditional gifts.

For my shower most bought us traditional gifts. We weren't expecting anything at the wedding because people were travelling and spending a pretty penny to come so I never expected gifts. We actually got checks and cash the day of the wedding, and I was shocked at the amount we ended up with.

We did Macy's, Target and Linen's and Things 10 years ago.

Macy's had an amazing completion program then. I think we may have mad moeny off them after getting their credit card for buying what we didn't get and returning what we got dup's of and all the discounts involved.

Today I see alot of my friends using Amazon.com

For xmas and birthdays my families us thethingsIwant.com you can do bridal on there too. Taht's what I'd use today.

You can add from any website you want or include things not even on websites. Once the purchase is made from it's home site, the thingsiwant.com site shows it as purchased or shows how many more you need. This way you can do disney, dishes and best buy all on one site, but aren't limited to the stock of one particular store.

I also second the "be careful with the Disney honeymoon registry". I set mine all up and their was so many glitches that I refused to do that to my guests (give them that headache). I moved all my items to Travelersjoy(dot)com. It was easy, convenient and we are STILL receiving gifts on it!

We were also going to do a more traditional registry but decided against it. We already have our homes and are very established and the thought of one more crock pot really put me over the edge. :rotfl: We did great with our Traveler's Joy and will be able to have an even better honeymoon from it :)
