First, I love this thread. It's great to get a glimpse into other people's lives like this. And such great stories too!!!
This is a cross-country story. My family had moved from FL to AL when I was a sophomore in HS. I then went to college at BYU in UT. One spring semester I came back home to stay with my family and my 2 best friends flew me down to FL to visit them for a week. We spent a weekend in Daytona Beach...I know what a great, wonderful, old-fashioned, romantic place....
We went to an awesome club called the Coliseum, it's gone now, and they warned me about guys just coming up and dancing with me. I replied, "I will not dance with anyone until they introduce themselves and ask me to dance." SOOOOO, a few guys did try and I would just walk away. Then DH did the same thing, I walked away, he danced with someone else, then did something he said he had NEVER done. He left the dance floor, came to the table I was at, introduced himself, and asked me to dance. That was it! We spent the rest of the night walking on the beach and talking. He later told me that it was at some point that night that he realized he wanted ME to be the mother of his children.

I'm glad he didn't tell me that then!!!!
He came to visit me while I was still in AL, I went to visit him and my friends again in Aug, then he came out for Thanksgiving in UT, moved there in Apr of the next year, then we drove to CT (where DH is from), by way of AL

, and were married in Sept. In May it will be 10 years since we met.
