Ask your planner about booking a dressing room...I got ready in a tiny little room in the GF convention center. It was great. They set it up with a mirror, dress rack, and table and chairs and it had windows for natural lighting. And we were right across the hall from a huge bathroom. We had access to order off the private menu and had a lunch buffet brought to us while getting ready. And all of our dresses were pressed by carolyn allen while we were getting ready. And best of all it was free to use the room!
The only catch was...
If you want to reserve the room as yours for sure you have to pay some group vent cost. If you want it for free you have to take your chance until a month out. Once it is a month out and it is available they will book it for you for free. The good thing is there are a couple rooms that are small and really aren't sought after by other people so they tend to be open. So what I did is booked a room at the GF as backup. And then when the month mark came up and the convention room was confirmed for me I canceled the hotel room.
Also another tip. Make sure everyone has their stuff together the night before. It is hard getting up early and bringing everyone's stuff to get ready in one room. And also be sure to have yourself packed up before the wedding ceremony. If you have a late reception they will need to get your bags out of the room and bring them to the reception room. Our room looked like a disaster and the girls had to leave the reception to gather things up!
