"Where did y'all get those shirts?" Fried, Tie-Dyed, and Places Mickey Hides.

I have had a busy week and just found my way to your TR, great job on the TR so far can't wait to read the next installment. We have never stayed at CS, it looks amazing.

The beds look especially comfortable. (queen sized beds is always a bonus)

popcorn::

Hey Nate,

Just catching up with your TR now. It's a fun read!

Sorry to hear about your FIL. Glad you guys were able to take a break and enjoy yourselves!

Love the pics...and I love your wife--a fellow shopper! But, then DH is like you...loves to search for Hidden Mickey's. Can't wait for the next episode.

State Trooper...:scared1:
I maintained the posted speed limit sir! :rolleyes1

Love the Sidney Lanier Bridge...a work of art...I'd probably wreck driving across it...as I'd be admiring it.

My wife and I stopped at the Shoney's there at Exit 1 in St. Mary (or was it Exit 3?)...for our first offiical Breakfast as Husband and Wife. pirate::bride:

Buckman Bridge...hard to beleive that this is going across the St. Johns River...looks more like a lake or a bay.

I miss Paul Harvey...

Welcome aboard!

FORMER State Trooper...went Federal just in time for 9-11:confused3

Shoney's is still there, my wife and I hit it from time to time...

Buckman is a loong one...

If you want to drive across the Lanier bridge, just get off on US 17 in Darien and follow it south, 17 is the bridge, and it hooks back up with 95 just south...exit 29 I think it is.

Thanks for stamping my passport!

EAST DOWN AND BOUND

THE CLAMPETTS HAVE ARRIVED - WHOOOOOOOOODOGGIE.

I can't wait for the rest of this one!

Can you teach me how to make my husband fall in love with WDW? He has never been, and doesn't get it. I haven't been since I was three, but I do...

Have a great day!

Mrs. Spratt

Will the next episode be in :3dglasses? You report is so entertaining! Keep it coming!

If 3-D stands for 3 Dots... as in ellipses... ...

There is something very relaxing when you walk into the lobby at CSR.

We are staying at POP in October and I'm not expecting getting that same feeling. I think POP will be busier and less relaxing than CSR. We are going for a short trip so we are trying to save a few $$$$.

Can't wait to hear about your 1st park day!popcorn::
Yeah I like the CSR Lobby...though I felt a litlle out of place...first timer butterflies.

found a few minutes to finally read through. Your pictures are great!! DH and I thought that we would like to stay at CS after our first trip, driving past so often while staying at ASMu. Perhaps when the kids are a bit older and my son's facination with the giant Big Wheel has passed:rotfl:

I got a new camera at Christmas that has a "stage" setting...takes pictues in semi dark places with no flash..it enhances the available light...it seems to work very well....can't wait to try it at Disney!!

Can't wait to read more and see more pictures!:goodvibes

My Camera was new too...so new I wasn't used to it...it was a Canon A2000-IS.

The CSR is amazing...and the Beds seal the deal.

Glad to entertain...glad to get away too...

I have some more Mickey's on the way...

I caught the former part...but your still the fuzz. Fed Fuzz. :lmao:
BTW...Just recognized who exactly you were from the Dad's Board...Be Safe during your deployment...and Thank you !!!
I'll try to remember that route on my next trip...whenever that'll be.

Have a great day!
I've loved WDW since I used to go with my folks...
My brother however is one of those that doesn't get it...he can't stop worrying about the money long enough to enjoy it...

You will probably have to let the magic work itself...

Have him read my report...and see that even a non-people person like myself can love WDW.

Loving your pics! So, I'm not the only one nervous when checking in. Guess it is the anticipation. I even got nervous waiting in line to buy the SWW pins I had waited all year for.

Oh, and its not just Saturday night. Night time is just crazy at DTD.

Great update, you have got me so excited about staying at CSR!:goodvibes

love the pics!!! :thumbsup2
Thanks

I figured it was every night...but only went back during the day...and prior trips most visits were during the day too.

Fed Fuzz....:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm going to steal that one from you and use it:lmao::lmao::lmao::thumbsup2
Steal Away Fuzzy! :thumbsup2

Great update, you have got me so excited about staying at CSR!:goodvibes
:cool1:

We all slept like dead people...traveling can just wipe out a person. :cloud9:

No alarm...no wake-up call...I wake up around 8AM...Sunday Morning...MAN it is cold in the room...I quitely get dressed...and get done in the bathroom and sink...then wake everyone else up.

It's 9AM when just about everyone else is ready...Boy seems to take the longest...but he has a scalp condition and has to wash his hair in the mornings to wash out the overnight medication.

While we are waiting on boy...Mel and I discuss the QSDP...we are already 2 meals ahead on the DDP...as we didn't use any on Day 1. So we decided to check out the Pepper Market for Breakfast...and have a lunch in the Park.

We also have the Bus/Drive debate...I really hate being a passenger...except on the Monorails...since we are going to the MK today and and it was a EMH night until 3AM...I decide to drive.

So we go to El Centro...let me pause just a minute and say how nice the temperature was our first few days...nothing like the typical Florida weather...the humidity was down...it felt like a mid 80's to low 90's...I was like...are you sure we are in Florida. :confused3

The Pepper Market can be a little confusing...when you arrive your are taken to a table and a server takes your drink orders...for the DDP at breakfast you get 2 Drinks...and an Combo meal. You take cards to the various different Stations to be stamped when you order item X... I got the Southwest Omlet...Mel got the Ham and Cheese Omlet...Boy got the egg platter with Sausage...Tiny got the Kids Mickey Waffles from the kids station...as he was 9 and according to the literature...he has to order from the kids menu...we later find out this is not true...but that's a different story. The Breakfast Food at the Peper Market was good...but then Breakfast is hard to screw up. :thumbsup2

This totalled about $40...4 Meal credits on the DDP...I'm already liking the Dining Plan...and I'm thinking just how would you eat at WDW...staying onsite...without a Dining Plan of some sort??? I've been to WDW before...but all ofsite stays and we brought our own snack food in...and maybe eat 1 Meal a day from a counter service location. Anyway we get done...Mel and the Kids stop at Panchitos for another look...I walk around the Registration Lobby looking for Hidden Mickeys.

Thought I saw one here...but I'll be darned if I can find it again.
Disney031.jpg

and then there is this potential Mickey off of the Eagle looking Totem thing...
Disney377.jpg

We head to the Park finally... Take a left out of the CSR and World Drive is the next road...over the bridge and down the ramp on the left...next thing you know we are at the Parking Toll booth...$12...Glad I don't have to pay that for a change...the last time I was here in 2007 it was only $10.

We get parked in Pluto...on the far end...yeah the long walk back to the Tram...we get to the TTC. and get on the Monorail...it was the Peach one...Tiny said...is that the Pink one that crashed...I'm not getting on that one... :scared1: ...I pointed out that it was indeed Peach with the white Delta pattern breaking the line...also told him how it had been 38 years accident free. The Monorail is an attraction itself to me...and all part of the magic.

POP quiz! do you know the other color Monorail with a White Delta breaking the Stripe. Think DIS'er Identification color...

Have I mentioned that Boy is a skeptic...he told me he wouldn't believe we were going to Disney until he stood on Main Street USA and saw the Castle...and being that we had a grumpy old man living with us for the last 6 Months I really couldn't blame him.

We get through the gates...and there is Main Street and the Castle...Boy is a believer. :goodvibes

BTW this is one of those days I forgot I owned a camera...sorry Picture lovers...I was just to caught up in the Magic.

At this point most everyone in "normal world" is like what ride are we going to first...:headache:

Not Mel...and she's even infected the youngin's with the shopper syndrom...we head to the Emporium. :sad2:

I collect Tickets and go in search of a Fast Passes...as I know where I'll find them when I return...the Emporium.

Time for a Video Break...
Skipper Dan

After watching this video for about 2 weeks before our trip I just couldn't wait to see the "Backside of Water"!!! :lmao:

So I got my Fast Passes...and on the way back I got my long awaited...Dole Whip Pineapple Float...(chorus of angels singing)...but don't tell the wife and kids. :rolleyes1

We meet up...and head back to Adventureland...it's about 45 minutes until my FP...so we goto PotC. pirate:

No Picture of the hidden Mickey...but the shadow of the cat on the right...where the drunk pirate is saying "here kitty kitty kitty"...makes a Mickey shaped shadow.

Then we make our way back to the Tiki Room...I really miss the old show... Iago and Zazu just mess it up...however I did get an Iago Feather from the floor. :thumbsup2

Now it was time for our Jungle Criuse...I saw the Sand Stone and didn't take it for Granite...I knew that was an African Bull Elephant...because we were in Africa...I saw the backside of water...and I even saw the "head" Sales Man at the Jungle Criuse gift shop. :lmao:

Next Episode... Tom, Robama, and I see Dead People.

You know, after following your trip report, I WON'T even dare to write one on our return. I could never be as great at it as you are and I would probably bore people to death. :rotfl2:

I LOVE the Emporium (although I love MouseGears too, and World of Disney, and Sports Mickey, and the Christmas Shop, and the Yankee Trader, and....you get the idea).

You know you are obligated to write a trip report as keeper of the Coronado Springs FAQ page...plus you might remember to take pictures more often than I did. :thumbsup2

Those places you mention sound awful familiar...

I just found your report and I am really enjoying it. I love your orange Donald Duck shirts. We live in NW Mississippi and we also drive to Disney World. I agree with you about it not being fun. It is worth it, but it is not fun. I am glad that you got to stay on property. We have stayed on and off and I like staying on property so much more. We had free dining last Dec. and loved it. We have free dining again in late Oct. early Nov. and I can't wait. I am looking forward to following along with your trip.

Thanks for joining in...from that other state with multiple double letters in it.

:lmao: great up date!!! tiny, i aint gettin on no pink one!!!:lmao:
Yeah he was nervous it would crash on us.

Great report! Keep it coming!
Thank you. :thumbsup2

Aside form Aladdins Carpets...Adventureland was done...we even did PotC one more time on our way to Frontierland.

Since on my "Spreadsheet from Heck" I had scheduled us 3 days at the MK...I said from the start I wanted to go to Tom Sawyer's Island...

On the way we pass the Outpost...and we each grab a free cup of ice water...we figured why waste a snack credit on a Drink...the free Ice Water if filtered...and better for us...and see those yummy looking Ranch Chicken Sandwiches they serve there...I thought didn't this place just used to serve McDonald's French Fries??? We will be back...those Chicken Sandwiches looked good.

Tom Sawyer's Island...I haven't been here since I was 10...Remember how I told you the Temperature was not at all like Florida...appartently all the Florida Heat and Humidity was being held on Tom Sawyers Island. :crazy2:

Anyway we walk around and start exploring...and looking for paintbrushes...I figure we are too late to find one...but you never know? We make our way to the Fort...I remember playing with those guns when I was little...and there I was again as Tiny...bang bang...except he was picking people off of Big Thunder Mountain...I just had the Steamboat when I was little. :goodvibes

By this time Mel is melting and has had enough of TSI...and so had I...Though I really like the cave with the warped floor and the glowing humming jewels. :thumbsup2 really messes with your head...and on the way out no trip to TSI is complete without a trip across the barrel bridge...watch your step...or your feet will get wet...by the time we get back we are hungry...so back to the outpost...and we go have a seat inside Pecos Bills. Those Chicken Sandwiches were as good as they looked...Boy and I got those...Mel and Tiny ordered from Pecos Bill's...She got a chicken wrap...Tiny got a Burger. When you order via the DDP...you get a desert too...man that's allot of food...we are refreshed...but bloated.

We figure we can catch BTM and Splash tonight during EMH...so we head on toward the rest of the park....We see the Country Bear Jamboree...I love Big Al... There was Blood on the Saddle...Blood all around...and a great big Puuudddlllee...of Blood on the ground. :lmao:...next stop...The Hall of Presidents...We had just missed the next showing...so I gather tickets...and head for Peter Pan for Fast Passes...Boy comes with me...we get them...but man they are late...9-something...did you know that this is (Peter Pan) THE MOST popular attraction at the Magic Kingdom?...I didn't either...I found that out a few day's later...but that is another story.

Boy and I get back to the HoP to find this... :lmao: Look Mel is wearing Tie-Dyed...Tiny had one to match...but bought this Stitch shirt at Team Mickey and wanted to wear it...he's also sporting a Donald Hat, and New Crocs from Panchitos.
IMG_0171.jpg

Then we go inside to wait in the Air Conditioning of the Hall of Presidents...
Boy an I look at the displays...Boy is a History Buff...and looks at every thing.

And I remember I have a Camera...cause MAN I really wish this guy was our President Right now... :thumbsup2
IMG_0172.jpg

I noticed they had added a sub-title to the show now..."A Celebration of Liberties Leaders." Ironic.

Then we finally get in the theater to see the Newly revamped show. I like that it is now narrated on Morgan Freeman...he has a great voice for this. Like the old show allot of the History provided centers on Ol' Abe and the cival war...The screen raises to show only Lincoln himself and he gives the Gettysburg Address...nice touch...I like it. It goes on to show more recent history too...that was needed. Finally the Curtains part all the way showing all of our Presidents...Introductions of each all the way up to Geroge W. Bush...then George Washington give a speech...that's new...then BO is introduced and he gives the Oath of Office. Again Ironic. (As you'll remember he had to do it twice because the guy swearing him in screwed up.)

Then Robama gives a speech...and the show is over. The show was improved...so I give it a. :thumbsup2 BTW I liked Robama...more life like than the real thing...and no tele-prompter...and he doesn't change what he says from show to show. :lmao:

Next Stop...The Haunted Mansion...We haven't been here since June, 2006...as it was being refurbed in 2007...and we didn't go in 2008. The line always moves fast here. We get into the Stretching Room...I spot the Panel that will become our exit...and make my way to that side...while keeping my filthy carcass toward the "Dead" Center of the room... I love that line. Boy and I get a Doombuggy...while Mel and Tiny get one. It's been a while so I really don't notice what has or has not changed...I don't remeber those footprints on the Stairs...nor the Eye's on the Wallpaper.

I see a hidden Mickey where there's a sign that says "Tomb Sweet Tomb."
The Chair in the Library that is a hidden Donald...Also saw one in the Dining Hall. Also check out the sleave of the Grim Reaper before your car turns around to pick up your Hitch-Hiking Ghost.

Next Episode...
Make them stop singing...and Where we got those Shirts!

Love the picture on the porch...a classic. Looking forward to the updated Hall of Pres. I doubt I'll take pics of that though...I already have a picture of the current President with me signed by him on my desk.

I didn't remember that Panchitos carried crocs...might have to look into that.
