Here's my take; your best bet may well be your home resort, if you are staying on WDW property. If you are off property, then anything out of a park is fair game.
It depends on when you plan to arrive, how you plan to arrive, and maybe where you are staying.
If you are arriving by air: Allow plenty of time to get to your resort. Also make an allowance for flight delays. They are very common these days.
I tend to do a QS meal on arrival day, just in case. It also gives you a chance to check ot your home resort. But if you have a morning arrvial, you should be fine for a dinner ADR. You might not be able to check in before 3 or 4pm though.
If you have a car, it is also your best opportunity to dine offsite. There are TONS of choices.
Going to DTD is a popular choice for arrival day. Otherwise, the BWK/BC/YC/Swan/Dolphin area is popular, and has lots of choices.
Also, if you choose something on the MK monorail area you could take the monorail before or after dinner - or you ride a shuttle boat.
Last trip we stayed at WL, eating at CR wasa short boat ride. We arrived via car early in the day. We had plenty of time befor edinner to use the pool and take the boat over to CR. It was relaxing and fun.
