Where can we eat food grown in Living with the Land?

I seem to remember somewhere on the DIS it was stated that some of produce served at the Garden Grill is from this attraction. Can anyone confirm this? I would love to eat at a restaurant that serves food from this attraction.

I know that it is true, but can't recall where the food is served. I believe Garden Grill sometimes uses things there or at least used to.

The Food Court area right next to the Land often has produce from the Land at their counters.

1) Per the tour
. . . Garden Grille
. . . Sunshine Seasons
. . . Coral Reef
2) But, you never know which fruits or veggies.
3) The eateries need more food than the gardens supply.

SS? Do they market it as such, or is it all kind of mixed in with whatever else they serve? Do you know if they serve it all all the counters or just some? Thank you!

Yes, Nikki. I an wondering because if they do a nice job with it there I will make a reservation for our upcoming trip. Do you think it's possible to call the restaurant directly and ask?

Thank you very much. I sure do wish they had an interactive behind the scenes tour where they served you a special meal at the end made entirely with what they are growing. :) Not sure if it would be a hit, but I would definitely spend the extra cash for it. :thumbsup2

They don't market it as such. During the Behind the Seeds tour, our guide was extra-vague on what/where/how the produce is used, and when questioned in more detail, she told us they can't really give out specifics. I found the whole thing a bit weird- I couldn't see why they wouldn't want to let people know. Another person on the tour thought it seemed like they didn't want the liability of saying they produced something themselves, less someone try to exploit that in some way. I've also heard, though, that different tour guides give different information....

I had striped bass at Flying Fish once that the menu said were raised at Epcot. However, that is no longer on their menu.

You're never going to be able to learn which specific produce is being served at which specific restaurant -because they don't get ALL their produce from the Land. For example, if they're serving squash, maybe a fourth of their squash might have come from the Land, and they're not going to be able to pick out a squash specifically from the Land for you.

Their statement about the food being served at some of the restaurants is actually pretty vague. They way they say it the statement is true even if only a few carrots (or whatever) wind up in a salad.

I'm sure people jump to the conclusion that all of the veggies at these places was grown on site but if you think about it that really can't be true. No doubt they order their produce just like all the other restaurants on property and only take advantage of any crops harvested in the Land when they are available.

1) I know for sure that Epcot GG-SS-CR use food from The Land.
2) But, yes, what they use is vague for specifics.

3) However, I know of some specific uses elsewhere
. . . greens are used at Mickey BBQ for "Lettuce Entertain You" songs
. . . some korn is used on-stage at HDDR
. . . the potatoes are used in some of Dan Quayle's Spelling Bee's
. . . fourteen veggies starred in "Attack of the Tomatoes"

I would love that too. Even if it was just some sauteed squash and sliced tomatoes, not a complete meal. It would still be so neat. But then they couldn't offer it all the time, because they might not be able to have enough harvest for 10-15 per tour, etc.

Thanks to everyone for their replies! Makes it easier for me to just keep the couple of TS reservations I have and enjoy all the sampling at the F&W Festival! :thumbsup2

I"ve noticed that there is a local lettuce salad at the Flying Fish that included items from The Land.
