Where can I lodge a complaint?

Agreed! I live in the Midwest, my sister in Texas. Neither of us would consider Texas Midwest!

I vote for cheese curds and runzas on the menu. :)
OHHHHHH! Cheese Curds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every year we go to the Big E, a huge New England fair, and I always split a big order of these yummy bites with my DDIL. We love them!

They had a turkey dinner but wouldn't make it into a sandwich for her. Ok. Still nothing to do with the dining plan. Dining plan doesn't mean you can have stuff that isn't on the menu.

She needs to go to the resort concierge or to Guest Relations to complain about the cast member's attitude.

Seriously LOL at this one! DH and I were reviewing menus, and are quite disappointed in the kid "choices".

Keep looking. They do have more options such as salmon and steak and salads.

there you go! no offense intended, it was a quickie. I'm an east coaster, you know to us it's all "middle of the country" but cheese curds sounds great. have to google the other!

There are actual fast food restaurants called Runza in the Midwest. It's both an entree and a restaurant that specializes in them. :)

Beer battered cheese curds are delicious!

You need to know that a full turkey dinner on a sandwich is one of the most amazing things on the planet. Though sub stuffing for mashed potatoes and cranberries for the veggies. MUST have gravy. MUST have mayo. It is a big thing here in new england - it's called a pilgrim or a puritan or named after some specific dead patriot dude but it is heaven on a sandwich is what it is. They should serve that at Liberty Inn in American Adventure. We also make them at home for breakfast after thanksgiving and my boyfriend calls it the "morning after sandwich" :rotfl:

Well it looks like I will be moving from PA up to whatever piece of heaven has these sandwiches.

This is my absolutely favorite part of Thanksgiving! I thought everyone ate these though (I'm a California gal). You totally nailed all of the 'must haves' for that dish, but don't forget the all-important side: a thin slice of pumpkin/apple/pecan pie <~ yes, all three.

My son once tried to order a hot dog without a bun at Caseys. CM said they couldn't sell it without the bun. Little guy said but I don't want a bun, CM checked with other person working who said no as well. Little guy started to get upset, so I said just take the darn hot dog kiddo. We walked over to the trash can and threw the bun away. Viola, one hot dog without a bun. Sometimes kids just have to learn to roll with it. :)

You must live right by me, because I can't tell you how many times I've had to explain what the big E is!!! Now I'm really drooling!!!

yeah but... I think the daughter is a grownup.

though my kid doesn't like wasting food that way but he won't eat it either lol

Let your daughter deal with this since she is the one it happened to and you were not there. It is time for here to put on her big girl pants and deal with it herself.

The Big E irritates a lot of people but not me! I eat my way through the Fair, I love Fair Food!

I bet we are neighbors, up here on the Suffield/Southwick border....Lake people! LOL!

How many CT people are on here?!! I'm in Fairfield (I mean Metro NYC, HA! so true! except for all the Vineyard Vines clothing in my neck of the woods . . . ) and I'll take that NE thanksgiving sandwich any day!!!

To the OP, please know, if it's not on the menu, they can't make it. It really has no bearing as to whether she is on the dining plan or not. There is no key on the register to ring up a non-menu item. The QS isn't a deli. It sounds to me that you recommended the dining plan and now you feel like your daughter is disappointed and it's your fault? I don't know, maybe I'm reaching, but that's what this sounds like to me. But you're really going to lodge a complaint because a CM said he/she couldn't provide something that really couldn't be provided? Doesn't seem very fair to me. Plenty of other stuff on the menu to choose from. If your daughter wants a turkey sandwich, she needs to go elsewhere.

I'm surprised no one has brought up Jack Nicholson's "Hold the chicken" scene from "Five Easy Pieces". It's readily available by searching with Google, but I hesitate to post a link because it might be a bit too edgy for DIS.

I've only been to the Big E once. Not much desire to go back, but if I did, the prime item on my menu would be the smoked (kippered) salmon on a stick.
