Where can I lodge a complaint?

The meal plan has a lot to do with it. Port Orleans Riverside has a great counter service, since my daughter purchased that plan and is there with my granddaughters she went there. I recommended it. They HAVE turkey at night. She did not want stuffing, potatoes and vegetable just turkey on bread. It was the attitude of the cast member that is not acceptable. Yes, she should complain but she texted me when I texted her to see how her vacation was going.

If the menu only had a turkey dinner, she could have ordered it and only eaten the turkey. If bread was also on the menu she could have bought that separately and then made her own sandwich. She could have ordered two turkey sandwiches from the children's menu if that's available at night. She could have ordered the Cajun turkey club and removed what she didn't want. A quick service venue is not set up for custom orders. I'm not sure why she (and you) think it is unreasonable for them to tell her that.

While there might be sandwiches at a different station, the entree station that offers turkey dinners is not set up to make sandwiches. They do not have the bread or any additional sandwich ingredients, the space or extra castmembers that would be needed to make something not on their menu.

Turkey ok now if it were Prime Rib I'd be hopping mad...or not because a MICKEY bar fixes everything.

they had turkey. and they had bread (somewhere, at some station, maybe not that station). Why couldn't the CM behind the counter just stop what they were doing and go hunting from station to station for bread to make you something that they don't normally make? it's disney, have it your way!

I think your daughter was being completely unreasonable and if the CM was a bit baffled by the request it could be because no one had ever asked them to do that before. I'd cut the person who is spending all day dishing up turkey dinners a little bit of slack when they don't know how to react to being suddenly promoted to chef.

So you weren't there? Didn't witness any of this? And your adult daughter ordered something not on the menu and was not given an item that was not offered on the menu? I'm not seeing where a complaint comes in. And I'm not seeing why a grown daughter would call a parent and complain about this - I wouldn't even walk back to my family at the table and complain about this, much less include extended family. And honestly, if my kid did this, no matter what the age, I'd laugh and tell him or her to suck it up and not feel entitled to something that is not offered.

Exactly my thoughts! And not just an adult daughter, but an adult daughter with children of her own!!

well to be fair to the OP's daughter, I will sometimes text my mom a little b*tch about something. Even sometimes stupid somethings. But damn I'd be mortified if she shared it with the whole world. If you can't complain to your mom who can you complain to? Of course my mom would tell me "to bad, so sad, order something else."

Still don't get what being on a meal plan had to do with it. Unless you think you get favored treatment on a plan?

I wonder if it's the opposite, that someone thought that they would make it for her if she was NOT on the plan?

But the people scooping out the food to plates aren't the ones charging, so they don't have to ever know how you're paying for it.

I know I'm hungry right now b/c even though I've been vegetarian nearly 30 years that picture up there looked good. LOL.

This experience taught me a little about Disney dining:
I go to Aloha Isle and we order a bunch of stuff. I order a pineapple juice but it's not real cold as it is a hot day so I go back to the counter and ask for some ICE. CM:"We don't have any ice here". So he gives me another juice on the house that was a little colder. Then my son wants a colder drink and another CM tells him to "go somewhere they have ice because we don't". I liked the first CM's ideas better.
But I can't explain the logic why a big place that sells as much juice as they do wouldn't have any ICE on the premises. I didn't think ice was that exotic a request. Each place seems to have certain things on hand and other things not on hand and logic may have nothing to do with that. And different CMs have different ideas to resolve problems that may or may not be official policy.

I would be mortified if my adult daughter texted me to complain that she could nto order a special sandwich at a CS restaurant. Honestly, talk about "Special Me!!!!!!!!"
LOL!!!

SOme people think so.

I don't get that either. The person serving you food doesn't care if you're on the meal plan or not. It's the cashiers that ring you out who want to know.
