Where can I lodge a complaint?

I have to say - such a strong affinity to a turkey sandwich is not something I see every day.

My advice on stuff like this is always the same, voice the concern while you are there, to the Manager and give them a chance to explain and/or fix it.

Just making sure...

She's mad that they didn't turn this

Into a turkey sandwhich?

Seems reasonable.
You need to know that a full turkey dinner on a sandwich is one of the most amazing things on the planet. Though sub stuffing for mashed potatoes and cranberries for the veggies. MUST have gravy. MUST have mayo. It is a big thing here in new england - it's called a pilgrim or a puritan or named after some specific dead patriot dude but it is heaven on a sandwich is what it is. They should serve that at Liberty Inn in American Adventure. We also make them at home for breakfast after thanksgiving and my boyfriend calls it the "morning after sandwich" :rotfl:

I agree. I am pretty flexible in regards to what I eat. If it's not on the menu I don't ask for it. However, if I was really upset then I would not send in a complaint, I would address it immediately.

My Mom used to make them for our lunches after Thanksgiving. It was the only time anyone wanted to swap their sandwich for mine.....and I always said NO!

I'm in CT, and you can find these delicious sandwiches all over at most times of the year. They are awesome!

yeah I think CT is considered part of NE except for fairfield county which is metro NYC lol. Man now I want one for lunch and might just get one. Local place makes homemade cornbread stuffing and serves it in ciabatta. I will be dead this afternoon but it's worth it. THANK YOU DISNEY FOOD BOARDS.

A local convenience store chain in the Midlantic (all hail the great and powerful Wawa) brings these out every fall. The name is godawful (the Gobbler. Why? WHY?) but the sandwich is delicious, and it's a Big Deal when Gobbler time rolls around again. (See? Awful name.) I would kill to have one at Disney. Though maybe not enough to text my mom about it if I can't get one.

LOL! The OP's DD did not want one of these huge handful of Deliciousness. She wanted turkey and bread. I would not waste my time on that complaint....but a Gobbler????? Don't care what it is called, it might just be worth a bit of whining!LOL!

oh yeah Gobbler too is another common name. and a local mexican (and I use that term lightly, half their menu is burgers and boneless wings) makes a gobbler quesadilla around thanksgiving with jack cheese. Supposed to be out of this world, I haven't tried it because I am saving myself for tgiving dinner at that point and trying to pre-lose a couple of pounds to make up for the gluttony that will occur the last thursday of November.

I would totally text my mom about it. She'd probably say "suck it up, buttercup." My mom is cool :)

Earl of Sandwich has one that I crave!!!!

Also, anyone flashing back to "Friends" and "THE MOISTMAKER"?

Liberty Inn needs to represent when it comes to american cuisine. Seriously.

They need to have a dish from every region:

New England: gobbler sandwich with clam chowder
South: Red beans and rice with fried chicken
midwest/texas: bbq brisket
California: shrimp or chicken toastas with fresh avocado and pico
pacific northwest: wild alaskan salmon with mushroom and wild rice pilaf

kids menu:
uncrustables
chicken nuggets
mac and cheese

LOL

Oh, no, I knew OP's daughter was not asking for anything half so delicious...I just wanted to stay even slightly on topic, haha! :goodvibes

The midwest needs cuisine of our own, thank you very much! Some awesome pizza would be a great addition!!!

Agreed! I live in the Midwest, my sister in Texas. Neither of us would consider Texas Midwest!

I vote for cheese curds and runzas on the menu. :)

Kids' Mickey Check Meal: yesterday's "Gobbler" turkey formed into a vaguely Mickey-shaped mound, devoid of flavor; served with broccoli, three limp sweet potato fries & "fresh" fruit - $8.49

That has nothing to do with being on the DDP or not. If it's not on the menu there's no reason to complain.

I know I'm hungry right now b/c even though I've been vegetarian nearly 30 years that picture up there looked good. LOL.
Do what I do and make all the sides, and then get Gardein frozen "turkey," (after trying many brands Gardein continues to be the best IMO,) and make a Thanksgiving dinner for yourself.

My daughter purchased the counter service meal plan and went to Port Orleans Riverside for a meal. She asked for a turkey sandwich. The cast member behind the counter refused to make her one! She looked at my daughter like she had 3 heads. We've used counter service here before always good. This time a real disappointment.

What would you like the outcome of this complaint to be? Do you just want her to get her turkey sandwich or do you want the employee reprimanded for not making it? (no snark intended BTW, I'm genuinely asking).

lol isn't that already at BoG? my child has zero desire to have the turkey meatloaf again.

there you go! no offense intended, it was a quickie. I'm an east coaster, you know to us it's all "middle of the country" but cheese curds sounds great. have to google the other!
