Where can I find a discussion on peak times?

I've really searched all over the Internet for peak park times. I'm finding a lot of contradictory information. I'm looking for some reliable "statistics" so I can better plan our dates.

I'm thinking mid-March 2008 for us (Me, DH, DS at 2 1/2 and DD at 18 months), but I am not sure if that's a typical peak time or not. If so, I'm thinking this October?

Ahhh! The first step in planning the vacation is deciding the date and we can't make up our minds.

I've been to Disney in the summer about 5 times in my lifetime and so I know the expected crowds (and HEAT and HUMIDITY) at that time, but I'm not s ure about the other seasons.

Thanks!

The easiest way is that any time schools are not in session, the parks will be busiest.

Chronologically, that means:

New Year's Week
President's Day week
Mid-March (Spring Breaks)
The week leading up to Easter and Easter week
June, July, and August (although the first two weeks of June and the last two weeks of August are less crowded than the rest of the summer. The last week of June/First week of July are the most crowded)
Thanksgiving week
Christmas week

Anytime children have school vacations will be peak times. Some schools only have a spring (Easter) break and some, like ours, have a winter break and a spring break. This time is from mid-February through the end of April. For non-peak times I would consider mid-September through October. We went one year the third week of Septmeber and the weather was great and there was hardly anyone there. No waiting in lines for anything.

Have you looked at www.*****************? There is a section on crowd levels and a "crowd blog" you can read. Some info is only fully accessible by owners of the '07 Unofficial Guide to WDW book or subscribers but I thought you might find some interesting info there.

I don't know about reliable statistics, but if you look at Disney's room fees you will get a very good idea of peak times. Obviously, they would know. The more people that want to come to Disney, the higher the demand for the room, the more they can charge. I am sure they've got this analyzed to the day!

I've been to Disney in March, and it was absolutey the worst. Go in the fall- October is a great time to go. The only downside is that's hurricane season.
