We want to buy a bunch of decals so we can all have matching t-shirts for our trip. Money is tight, so buying 20 new t-shirts is not an option :)
Thanks!!

Go to the Creative Disigns thread and print some off of there, for FREE !! Go to AC Moore or Michaels and get some Iron-on transfer paper and some t-shirts and make your own. I made a bunch for our last visit. I hope you enjoy your upcoming trip !!

Do you need a high end printer for them to look good? How much does it run for the iron-on paper?? Thanks!!

You definately do not need a high end printer. I have a cheap Epson that I have had for years and it works perfectly. I buy the iron on paper at AC Moore and always use a 40% off coupon (you can print them from their website). Full price they are about $12 for I think 11 or 12 sheets. There is a sticky on the Disigners thread that will walk you through exactly how to do it. Very simple. :)

this is just one example...there are others out there....and no...you don't need a high tech printer but a decent one.....that's what i'm planning on doing for our trip in may.....just gotta find decent cheap tshirts now!!!

I have used both the inexpensive Hanes ones that you can get at the craft store (they go on sale for 2 for $5.00) - those are good for one trip. Once you wash them, they definately don't look so hot. But one year I used the nice t-shirts from Target and they lasted through many washes. :)

Look at the "CREATIVE Community" section of the DIS. There's all kinds of ideas there.

Also try the budget board section. They 've got all kinds of ideas for fun ways to make a trip special while sticking to a tight budget.

Thanks for the great ideas!! I'll definitely try to make one over the weekend & see how it comes out. I have till August to come up with a plan, but I do think matching shirts is sooo cute for photos!!

Shefrni....Michael's Crafts has 5/$10 t-shirts a lot.

Mickeylov'r....we were able to get in on Free Dining during Value Season, I couldn't believe we got 9 nights at POFQ, an 8 day ticket each and Regular Dining (1 TS, 1 CS & 1 snack per person per day) for $2550 plus air (not yet booked). We were thrilled with that :goodvibes

Also, the DISigners on Creative DIS will personalize the pictures for you. They are an amazing bunch who do all this work for free on their own time.

I just had M.I.C.K.E.Y. design each of my family's name filled with logo and colors of each of our football teams for Superbowl Sunday. I finished them yesterday and they turned out great. I can't wait to give to my husband and 2 DD.

Good luck with your shirts.

How do I find the creadtive designe threads? I'm new here and I'd love to make shirts for our upcoming cruise

The Creative Disigns thread is down under "Just for Fun"....try here

Be forewarned that once you get sucked in you'll never be able to go to Disney without making shirts. HA!

FYI, I've had great luck with the dark colored tshirt transfers they carry at Walmart. They are about $10, but the Neverland Pirates shirt I made for my son back in the summer still looks great after a lot of washes. I just used a cotton Walmart "Faded Glory" t-shirt that was on clearance for maybe $2. I have used the cheapy shirts from Michaels or Hobby Lobby, but the nicer Walmart shirts work much better and are usually cheaper since they are on clearance all the time. You just have to dig for them.
