Where are you staying and why?

GF in August, love the lobby, monorail access, and close to MK. This will complete a stay in all three monorail resorts!

Trip #1: Sept. 24 thru Oct. 1st, 2016 is POFQ. POFQ is our home resort. We stayed here on on honeymoon/disneymoon. We love the compact size, one bus stop, boat to DS and proximity to MK, Epcot and HS.

Trip #2: Nov. 4th thru Nov. 7th, 2016 is POR. We have stayed at POR one time before. We enjoyed our "Royal" room when we stayed. It is a little more spread out than what we are used to but still a very nice resort.

Trip #3: Jan. 2nd thru Jan 9th, 2017 is Yacht Club. This will be our first stay at the Yacht Club since we got married (7 years ago). We picked the resort due to the location near Epcot. My wife is running the Dopey Challenge during our this trip and we wanted something close to the finish line of the races so that she could have an opportunity to relax relatively quickly after her runs. We have also wanted to stay at the Yacht Club before but always went back to POFQ.

Late August, just DD and me, staying at Pop with free QSDP.

I can't justify the rates at the deluxe resorts any more. We liked Pop a lot last year! Bus service was very good. Food court has lots of options.

POFQ. So far, it's DH & my favorite layout and we love the running trails. We both get up early and run and it is beautiful. We also love the boat to Disney Springs.

Just switched to Port Orleans from a suite in Movies. Price difference was a big factor, $400 and change less!

Originally booked POR but switched to CB b/c POR did not have 5 person rooms available for free dining in fall. Going with large group (18 people) so fd was critical for savings, otherwise I would have probably considered room-only discount for POR. Not that there is anything wrong with CB, we've just stayed there before (and love it) and I wanted to try something different.

The Dolphin because I have 5 free nights using my credit card points. We don't fly into MCO so we need to rent a car and can return it the night we arrive which saves on the parking fee. We have stayed at the Boardwalk before and like the location. Hoping we enjoy staying at the Dolphin as we are the type of visitors who spend time at the resort. My favorite place to stay is Kidani and love PORFQ too.

In September we're staying at CBR. We stayed at Pop last year, and wanted to try a moderate however we're doing 2 trips this year (and this one was only going to be a weekend) so we thought it was better if we booked AoA. But then we extended our trip and when RO discounts came out CBR was even cheaper so we decided to go for it.

In December we're staying at CSR. It's my boyfriend's birthday trip, and I thought he would enjoy that hotel. I think the themeing looks awesome, and I've heard only good things. I also wanted to add a day at a deluxe as a present, but didn't think it was practical with what the rooms cost. But then I got a pin code, and it was enough off that we decided to book the Poly for our last night. Ever since we ate at Ohana and Kona Cafe last year we fell in love with the Poly.

Next year we're doing a birthday trip for me, a September trip, and maybe a weekend in March.

I'm looking at AoA, POFQ, PORS-royal rooms, WL, YC, and Contemporary as possible choices.

We're staying at POR again because our 7yr old's refuse to stay anywhere else!!

I suggested a split stay with the Contemporary and it was still a big ol' NOPE!!
They're so happy at POR, it really is like a home-from-home for them so we're more than happy to go along with it!

That's so sweet! I stayed at POR on my very first visit when it was still Dixie Landing. LOVE it although I've never actually stayed there again since (trying to stay at every Disney resort so we go somewhere new every time). You're making me want to stay there again!!!!

Family Suite at AoA. My next trip is with my husband and my parents. :scared: I tried to convince my parents to let me book two separate packages so we can have two rooms at a mod resort but they felt AoA made more sense for our budgets and ease of planning. I'm excited to see AoA though! I haven't stayed there or Pop yet.

Same thought process as our family. Was going to go with 2 separate rooms, but AoA suites was cheaper and sleeps 6, and my mom can be far enough away as not to get in our way, but close enough that we can look in on her.

We are staying at POFQ. It is our home away from home ever since my daughter chose it at the age of 4 (she loved the pool). She is now 23 and it is still her most favorite -- even though our most recent trips have been to Yacht and Beach Club -- she still chose POFQ for our upcoming trip in 57 days. I will miss the Stormalong Bay this time though especially since it will be August.

My next trip will be at the FW Cabins. I typically stay at POFQ because it's cheaper and I like the ambiance. But what finally tipped me to FW was the fact that I can finally (FINALLY!) walk out my door in my bathrobe, sit down at the table, smoke on the deck and just relax and look at the stars. No more long walks to the "smoking section" (which is quite public) and standing there to smoke, no more dirty looks from people walking by, no more dealing with other people's judgment at all. I'll be at MY cabin, on MY deck, enjoying MY time.

Of course, the peace, quiet and eclectic mix of people is an added bonus, not to mention that I won't have to hear other people on the other side of the wall, running feet overhead, or flushing toilets.

W e are renting points to stay at BWV 2 nights, then moving to Poly Villas for 4 nights in September. Husband is disabled and uses ECV so the first days at BW we can ride boat or motor over to EPCOT and take the boat to HS. When we move over to Poly we will have the monorail to go to both EPCOT and MK and take the bus to AK. This system works out best for us as we are seniors.

We're staying at Yacht Club. We always wanted to stay there or Beach Club but when the kids were really little we wanted to be closer to MK. We are so excited to finally be able to enjoy Stormalong Bay. We even added one day room only, so we can just spend the whole day at the resort.

Our home resort is PoR and we just love it.. We just keep going back..
I have been to CBR, POP, AKL, AoA and POFQ and POR.

Last year we had for most of the year CSR booked as we had 5 people and needed a suite like thing... had a junior suite with 2 baths.... but were never happy.. kept thinking we want to be back to POR so switched last minute to 2 rooms..

At first we loved the mansion and booked royal rooms to guarentee this and also be close to the bridge.. bayou turned us off, last year we got bayou and LOVED the rooms... and area.

There is something about POR,, the southern music in the buses ( we arent southern) the lushness, it is large, but so nice to walk around, calm, the boats..

Also I love the location for driving ( we usually have a car part of the trip). It's easy geting to MK, Fort Wilderness , DTD etc... The food court we find great and love the ladies in the gift shop.

I dont know but something draws us to this resort.. We feel really of the grid and relaxed there.. It's a cocoon.
this year we are doing FD package POR and then 3 nights BC.. we are looking forward to the BC with Epcot location and SAB.. but my gut feeling is that we will still say that was nice, but next year POR again for the package.

18 nights at our beloved Pop :love:we have stayed there almost every year since they opened, love that place! It is quintessential Disney to us.

Coronado Springs

It's my daughters favorite resort (well besides AKL and it's not in the budget this trip).

We are staying at the Grand Floridian this August, we are staying there because we've stayed at all the other resorts in the MK area and wanted to round out our list by staying at the GF! Also last year we stayed at BWI in the Epcot area and I like to change areas that we stay in each year, so this year will be a MK area stay. I also really love the look of the GF and am excited to stay there and experience something new.
